Soon, on Beyond the Gates, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) may be singing like Rockwell Gordy: "I always feel like somebody's watching me." Jason Vendryes will join the BTG cast in May as a mysterious stranger who will keep a close eye on the congressman and his grandfather.

The actor, who was born on April 25 in Long Island, New York, will begin the recurring role of Kenny in May. All that is known about the role is that Martin and Vernon will be under Kenny's watchful eye, but no one has a clue what he wants.

Vendryes will soon appear in the feature film One Spoon of Chocolate, which was written and directed by RZA. Paris Jackson, Blair Underwood, and Shameik Moore are also stars.

Vendryes was in the Tyler Perry series Too Close to Home, Amazon's Living V, and OWN's Ambitions. He is also known for The Big Door Prize (2023) and Queen of the South (2016).
