How Amay Patnaik Outsmarted Dadabhai in Raid 2

The story of "Raid 2" begins in 1989 Jaipur in and the frame, we see Raja Kunwar whose role is played by "Govind Namdev". He is busy at a party when he gets the news that a raid is about to take place at his house i.e. the mansion.

The next morning, officers of the income tax department reach his mansion and to stop them, Raja Kunwar fires guns in the air.

Raja Kunwar tries his best to ensure that no government officer enters his mansion and on the other hand, one of Raja Kunwar's special employees runs away with all the black money and treasure.

Look at Raja Kunwar's misfortune - the person whom he thought to be the smartest, the same employee drowned him. He thought that he would run away with the wealth and dodge the law. But fate put a wall in his way, whose name is Amay Patnaik played by "Ajay Devgan".

If Raja Kunwar had heard of Amay Patnaik before... had known about his honesty, his stubbornness and his strategy, then maybe he could have saved himself by thinking something better. But now it was too late - because if Amay Patnaik is in front, then no one can stop the truth from coming out.

Amay and his entire team reached the department with all the black money and treasure because now everything had been seized.

After reaching the department, Raja Kunwar's special employee negotiates with Amay. He says what if we settle this matter with money? Well, rich people often do this and then Amay hands him a small chit on which is written two crores.

Amay tells him that because he is a government officer, he cannot ask for bribes verbally. That is why he is giving it in writing that how much money he wants. Raja Kunwar's special employee tells this entire matter to Raja Kunwar and after that, Amay gets the amount he had demanded.

After all this, the news of Amay Patnaik's transfer is printed in the newspaper and the headline is IRS (Indian Revenue Service) officer Amay Patnaik accused of asking for bribe, 75th transfer.

And what happened after this?

Amay Patnaik and his family which includes his wife Malini and their little daughter leave from there and reach "Bhoj". Ajay Devgan's wife Malini's role is played by "Vaani Kapoor".

After coming to "Bhoj", Amay Patnaik first goes to the office and while he is reading the files there, he finds out a very strange thing because all the documents are correct and this is the reason why he doubts how the whole city or all the people can be honest.

The next day Amay and his whole family including his daughter go out for a walk and first of all, they reach "Sushma Jankalyan Foundation" This is a foundation that was started by (Manohar Dhankar) whom people lovingly call Dadabhai.

"Riteish Deshmukh" has played the character of Dadabhai (Manohar Dhankar) very well.

Meanwhile, we see Rameshwar Singh (Tauji) on the screens who has been imprisoned in Kanpur jail for the last seven years, played by "Saurabh Shukla".

On the other hand, after visiting the foundation, Amay goes to the local market to learn more about Dadabhai and while roaming around, he reaches a shop which is a slipper shop. After going to that shop, some conversation takes place between Amay and the shop owner due to which Amay comes to know about Dada bhai's backstory:

• Dadabhai has always been at the forefront of public service.
• He never backed down from doing good for others.
• On the strength of his work and image, Dadabhai won the trust and support of the public and after this, he wanted to enter politics and for this, he went to the CM to ask for a ticket. But the CM did not give him the ticket, instead, he insulted him a lot and sent him back from there.
• Now an interesting thing happened during the election when Dadabhai stood for the election, he defeated the CM's party without any support and won the election from his area i.e. "Bhoj".
• CM had lost the election and he needed Dadabhai's support. So he goes to his house. But there Dadabhai said to CM first of all I want to hear the word sorry from your mouth for the insult he did to Dadabhai in the past after that, both of them formed the government together and with time Dadabhai also became a cabinet minister.
• Amay also comes to know that there was a girl named Neha Rathore whom Dadabhai was going to marry but unfortunately, she died in an accident.

Now slowly Amay Patnaik started an investigation against Dadabhai and in this process, he reached a place where there were many farms. But he gets a little doubt on seeing one farm because even in the summer season, the sugarcane crop is still left there.

The next morning Amay gathers all his team members and gives them an envelope. On opening the envelope, the officers come to know that now they have to raid Dadabhai i.e. Manohar Dhankar's place.

On reading all this, all the officers are shocked. One of the officers starts whispering that maybe Amay sir wants a bribe again. That is why he is going to raid the place of a decent person like Dadabhai.

This is where Amay Patnaik tells how he got his transfer done here in "Bhoj" and that he had fabricated this entire bribery case i.e. that news that IRS officer Amay Patnaik took a bribe so that he could come to Dadabhai.

Now we reach the flashback where we see that when Amay demanded two crores from Raja Kunwar, Raja Kunwar called Dadabhai and told him that a government officer named Amay Patnaik was demanding two crores rupees from him and then Dadabhai delivered those two crores to Raja Kunwar and ever since Amay came to know that the entire money belonged to Dadabhai, he started following Dadabhai.

Amay also tells his officers that ever since he came to the "Bhoj", he has collected a lot of evidence against Dadabhai and after this, Amay and his entire team reach Dadabhai's house for a raid.

There, a bit of a heated argument takes place between Amay and Dada Bhai. Ultimately, Amay does not get anything in the raid. All the evidence that Amay had collected against Dadabhai backfires on him because Dadabhai managed everything in one night and hence he does not get anything in the raid.

Now there is a little twist in the story as we get to know that Dadabhai already knew that Amay Patnaik was going to raid his place because Dadabhai had his eye on him ever since Amay raided Raja Kunwar's place.

That is why, be it gold, money or fake documents, Dadabhai managed everything in one night.

And now when the raid is over, Dadabhai tells Amay that everything is in front of his eyes but he will never be able to catch him.

Now when Amay is leaving the foundation, an old man puts a chit in his pocket that says “Neha Rathore Railway Department” and now Amay is suspended and in his place comes another income tax officer Lallan Sudheer and this role is played by "Amit Sial".

Despite being suspended, Amay does not leave this whole case and he suspects that Neha’s death is a well-planned trick and that is why he gets involved in this case and does not think of leaving it.

And in this case, Amay takes the help of one of his friends whose name is Vinay.

Now in the story, the mask of Dadabhai is slowly coming off and Amay gets some amazing information. Dadabhai used to give jobs to girls in the railways and after that, he used to physically explode them and buy their land in the name of his relatives at cheap rates.

And one such girl was Neha Rathore with whom Dadabhai's love story was known to the whole "Bhoj". Everyone thought that Neha Rathore died in an accident but the truth was that Dadabhai himself got her killed.

In the land case, Amay takes the help of a lawyer and a PIL is filed in the court against Dadabhai.

Now on one hand Lallan Sudheer keeps on flattering Dadabhai. He tries to win Dadabhai's trust.

On the other hand, Amay continues his investigation. In this investigation, he finds out that in the field where the sugarcane crop was left unattended, there were boxes buried there.

From there, those boxes were taken out and shifted to a nearby house. And after this, the income tax department raids the same house. But this raid is done under the leadership of Lallan Sudheer.

Now let me tell you that in all these boxes there was nothing but Dadabhai's black money. After the raid, Lallan Sudheer reaches Dadabhai and tells him that he did not know that all this money, this entire black money is his, Dadabhai's. Otherwise, he would have informed before conducting the raid.

Slowly, Dadabhai's black money gets seized and Amay's suspension order is withdrawn.

On the other hand, Dadabhai lost the land case in court and we also got a piece of interesting information that the transfer of Lallan Sudheer was also a well-thought-out move of the income tax department which was initiated by one and only Amay Patnaik and this was because Amay wanted a dishonest officer to come in his place and that is why Lallan Sudheer comes who keeps Dadabhai entangled in himself.

Now we reach the climax of the story where Lallan Sudheer tells Dadabhai to transfer all his black money and gold somewhere because soon a raid is going to take place at his place.

After listening to all this, Dadabhai shifts his entire black money to a hotel and Lallan Sudheer knows all this and he tells all this to Amay.

Amay and his entire team reach the same hotel and during the raid they find crores of rupees, meaning lots of money, money everywhere and lots of gold too.

And on the other hand, Dadabhai calls even the PM to stop the raid but the PM does not pick up the phone.

Dadabhai makes every possible effort to stop the raid but no one helps him and finally, when he is left with no option, he reaches the hotel with his public but to distract the public, Amay comes up with a very amazing idea.

The public, are all supporters of Dadabhai, yes they can be called his supporters, so to distract them, Amay showered a lot of money from the top of the hotel, meaning he rained money on the public which they got distracted and after this, all the officers can get out safely from there.

Now Amay reaches the foundation and a structure of "gold" is restored in the foundation. While leaving from there, a large number of people are present and Dadabhai is also present with them.

The entire public runs to kill Amay Patnaik and his team but then Dadabhai's mother arrives who was brought by Amay's wife, i.e. Malini.

Here I would like to tell you that Malini had told Dadabhai's mother about his dark deeds and how Dadabhai used to sexually explode girls. At first, his mother does not believe but later she is forced to believe that her son, whom the world calls Dadabhai, is such a bad person.

Now Dadabhai breaks down after seeing his mother crying in the foundation and after that, the same public which was till now immersed in the devotion of Dadabhai runs to kill him.

But you see the goodness of Amay Patnaik, he stops all those people and after this Dadabhai is in jail and in the same jail he meets "Saurabh Shukla", no, Rameshwar Singh.

In the last scene of the film, we see that Amay Patnaik meets the same old man who had kept a chit in Amay's pocket in which Neha Rathore's name was written and then we come to know that the old man is none other than Neha's grandfather.

So this was all about Raid 2. I hope you have understood this whole story.
