Mark the date May 5th, 2017 down in your calendars because that is when the political #Netflix drama, #HouseofCards is set to release its highly anticipated fifth season... Almost one year and two months since Season 4 was released on the streaming platform.

The official House Of Cards twitter account posted an eery 30-second clip moments before the official inauguration of the 45th president of the United States, Donald J. Trump. The clip depicted its trademark upside down American flag waving against a grey backdrop with children reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

As if fans needed more reason to feel giddy, the caption that accompanied the clip read simply, "We make the terror." This is in reference to a quote from the Season 4 finale, when president Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) said:

“We don’t submit to terror. We make the terror.”

To which his wife, Claire (Robin Wright), broke the fourth wall for the first time and we all promptly freaked the fuck out. The clip has been retweeted more than 20,000 times in only a few hours and will certainly continue to rise as more people turn to the Washington in this fictional reality.

This Isn't The First Time House Of Cards Utilized A Political Event For Promotion...

During the 2016 Republican Party Presidential Debate in December, those tech savvy twitter runners declared that President Underwood would be making a special announcement during the debate, which was a 'campaign ad' that functioned as a teaser trailer for the fourth season.

The clip featured a warm voiceover set over patriotic images of the U.S. declaring:

“It’s a new day in America. Today, more people will go to work, return home to their families, and sleep more soundly than ever before. All because one man refuses to settle. Putting people before politics. That man is Frank Underwood."

The final line of the ad has Underwood stating directly to the camera from the Oval Office: “America, I am only getting started." Within 16 minutes of the clip releasing, it was retweeted 5000 times.
