General Hospital spoilers: Marshall may know a secret
General Hospital may be dropping clues related to an upcoming bombshell that many viewers believe is sure to drop. When Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) received the call about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) being at the PCPD he was talking to his father Marshall Ashford ( Robert Gosset ). After Curtis said he had to go because Trina was in trouble Marshall replied that you always look out for family.
At a glance, this comment could be nothing more than the Senior Ashford accepting Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) as the woman in his son’s life and extending his acceptance to her daughter. He might even have been reflecting upon the sacrifices he made that took him away from his wife and sons.
On a deeper level, Marshall could have been acknowledging that he suspects or even knows that Trina belongs to Curtis and not Marcus Taggert (Real’ Andrews). Marshall seems to have been keeping tabs on his son as when he came to Port Charles he already knew that TJ Ashford ( Taj Bellow) was not his grandson through blood. There was never a conversation where anyone brought Marshall up to speed so he obviously already knew.
Marshall and Trina connect
Spoilers for the week beginning April 4th indicate that Marshall will have a close encounter with Trina. It could be quite innocent and perhaps he is showing sympathy because of her plight. It’s also possible that Marshall knows more than he is letting on, No one in Port Charles has any idea of the truth about where the elder Ashford has been and what he has been up to but these questions will be answered in time.
General Hospital fans are wondering why it is Curtis who comes to Trina’s rescue more than the man she knows as her father. Taggert was on hand right after Trina went to the PCPD but it was Curtis and Portia who met with Scott Baldwin ( Kin Shriner) went with the teen to her arraignment. Any revelations regarding Trina’s bio dad will take a back seat to her being accused of taping Joslyn Jacks ( Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber ( Will Lipton) while they were having sex.
Portia needs to come clean
General Hospital fans have not forgotten that Portia said she would tell Trina about her father once she got out of the basement that was filling with gas fumes. It’s possible that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) heard what Portia said and might question her. It will be interesting to find out how Dr. Robinson will respond under pressure and whether or not she will attempt to hold on to the secret.
Something else to consider is that General Hospital usually casts young actors who look like the celeb’s who portray their parents. Dante Falconeri ( Dominic Zampragna) has dark hair and a dark complexion like Sonny Corinthos ( Maurice Benard)and Joss is blonde like Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Trina is dark brown like Curtis and Marshall and both of her parents are much lighter.
All of this could mean absolutely nothing but it all could be part of the revelation that Curtis is Trina’s bio dad. There is also the fact that Stella Henry found out she had someone who was living in Port Charles with the same DNA and that angle has yet to be explored. All of these loose ends need to be tied up but there is no telling how this will work out.
Just before Julian Jerome (William deVry) died he met a little boy named Andy who belonged to Kim Nero ( Tamara Braun) who he did not realize was his son. It’s been several years and that storyline has not been revisited. Hopefully there will be answers for Trina and this will not drag out. Marshall mentioning family and his meeting with Trina might mean nothing at all or it could be huge. Stay tuned to General Hospital to find out how all of this plays out.
