Alley Mills as Heather Webber

Alley Mills receives a double honor

Double congratulations are in order for actress Alley Mills who was just nominated for her first Daytime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer on the ABC soap General Hospital. Mills stepped into the role of Heather Webber last year when Robin Mattson was recovering from knee replacement surgery and revealed that she would soon have the procedure done on her other knee. Mattson fans were doubtful that anyone else could take on the character but Mills soon made Heather her own and even added layers of crazy to the sinister Webber.

Because of her small stature, Mills could jump around, straddle her baby daddy in jail and run around Port Charles unnoticed as the hook killer. Heather should be thrown under the jail for the criminally insane in maximum security and never see the light of day for her recent crimes but somehow, someway she will be visible to the people of Port Chuck as well as General Hospital viewers.

Heather was revealed as the hook killer

Mills' version of Heather murdered Brando Corbin ( Johnny Wactor), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno), and Rory Cabrerra (Michael Cruse). She also hooked Diane Miller (Caroline Hennessy) who survived. As the recast, Heather fans enjoyed how Mills could chill us to the bone and make us laugh at the same time all while holding her own with the evil Dr. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).

Soaps in Depth is reporting that the actress announced on The Michael Fairman Show that she had just been asked back to General Hospital to reprise the role of Webber and added that she was not certain she was supposed to let the cat out of the bag, There are no details of how, when, and why Heather will return but she will certainly spice things up in Port Charles.

All about the talented Alley Mills

Mills was born on May 9, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of Yale in 1973, she studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. While still in college, Alley Mills scored a small role in the film Diary of a Mad Housewife (1970). She got her first lead role in 1979 in a short-lived television series about young lawyers entitled The Associates (1979), opposite a then yet-unknown Martin Short. After another failed sitcom in 1982,

Alley Mills is best known for portraying Norma Arnold on The Wonder Years from 1988-1993 and the kooky Pam Douglas on the CBS soap The Bold and the Beautiful beginning in 1987. It's been a while since Pam has been onscreen but her fiance Charlie Webber (Dick Christie) has been turning up around Forrester Creations quite a bit during the past 2 weeks. Mills husband of 27 years actor Orson Beane died tragically on February 7 2020 when he was hit by a car while walking and tried to get up and a second vehicle hit him.

When can Heather be expected to show up?

Be on the lookout for updates related to when Heather Webber will return to Port Charles and in what capacity. Will she make a prison break, end up in the hospital or receive a visitor while incarcerated? Could there be additional secrets that she is harboring and ready to reveal? As for when the actress might be expected to reprise the role General Hospital tapes episodes about 6 weeks in advance. Alley Mills has not yet begun filming which suggests her return might possibly be as early as sometime in June if she begins taping soon and later in the summer if she returns to the GH studio at a later time.
