General Hospital News: Laura Wright compares Drew's situation to Jr Ewing on Dallas

Could Port Charles have a whodunit similar to what happened on the prime-time soap?

What's in store for Congressman Cain?

For some time now, General Hospital fans have suspected that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will be attacked or meet his demise. He has pissed off practically everyone in Port Charles to the point that they want him gone. Laura Wright's recent Instagram post might be a clue to what's coming next for the Congressman.

She compared Drew to JR Ewing (Larry Hagman) who was shot in 1980 on the CBS prime-time soap Dallas. JR had angered so many people that there was no shortage of suspects who might want him dead. Did Wright only mean that Drew is as calculating and evil as JR, or was she teasing that he might be shot? Let's take a look at the people who might want Congressman Cain dead.

Many PC residents are disgruntled with Drew

Drew recemtly angered Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) by threatening to put Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) in jail. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is furious because Drew wants to take Scout Cain ( Cozette Abinante) away from her family to live in DC permanently.

Curtis and Portia Ashford (Donnell Turner and Brooke Kerr) have a temporary truce with Drew, but he still holds the cards and could have Portia fired from the hospital. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) are both hostile toward Drew for causing Willow to lose her children. One of them might snap and attempt to silence him permanently.

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Michael Corinthos ( Rory Gibson), and even Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) all have reasons to want Drew out of the picture. Who knows, perhaps Congressman Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) might turn on his partner in crime or Kai Taylor's (Jens Austin Astrip) eyes will be opened, and he attacks his mentor.

Something has to change soon

General Hospital viewers are saying they realize Drew terrorizing everyone in Port Charles and getting away with blackmail cannot continue. Something has to give, and fans want changes soon. Wright praising her castmate about his performance while comparing him to Jr Ewing has those who watch the show talking.

Fans say the GH writers have destroyed the character of Drew to what some fans say is no point of return, so what will be his fate? Will Drew be shot, poisoned, or stabbed, and will he die? Fans detest Drew but enjoy Mathison's portrayal.

Is something going on with Drew that no one is aware of?

GH viewers suggest there could be a reason for the version of Congressman Cain we see today. Does Drew have a brain tumor or another illness that is responsible for his dastardly behavior, or has he turned completely evil?

Could there be truth to the rumors that the man who has caused so much turmoil is an imposter and not Navy SEAL Andrew Cain? Could he be Shiloh Archer ( Colby McLaughlin) or someone else in disguise? Will there be a whodunit after someone takes matters into their own hands, and who would the culprit likely be out of so many possible suspects?

Will Drew suffer J.R.'s fate?

Stay tuned to the Port Charles action to learn what happens next and what Laura Wright meant by comparing Drew Cain to Jr Ewing. The Dallas character was shot by the last person anyone expected, his not-so-secret lover, his wife Sue Ellen Ewing's ( Linda Grey) baby sister, Kristen (Mary Crosby).

If something happens to Drew, who would be the least likely person to attack him? Put on your thinking caps, General Hospital fans, and figure this mystery out in advance as you often do.
