Wow they really kicked off this season with a bang. It was a very action packed first episode that left one of our leads bleeding out. We also saw a lot of really in depth character development and choices being made in the last episode that sets this season up really well.

Marie struggling through a stupid social media video is so real. That’s how all of you influencers look by the way. Fake and irritating.

The dean is very blunt, he knows Marie doesn’t want to be there. Part of his manipulation tactic is giving Marie Andre’s medical records, proving that he had the same condition that his dad had. He also clearly knows that Marie, Jordan and Emma are behind the fact that Kate is in the hospital.

I am really curious as to what Cipher’s powers are because he seems to be able to read people’s minds. Whether that is literal or it's him reading physical traits we definitely don’t know yet. But it has to do with reading people. He knows Andre’s dad is lying about why he wanted a job at God U and he knew Marie was lying and he knew Kate was going to try and read his mind before she did it.

He is also the leader of their “Superhero Optimization” seminar, he is trying to get the kids to know how exactly their powers work, in order to make them stronger, better heroes. At least that is the party line.

“You are not students, you are soldiers and you will fight for the cause”

God U is now not being at all subtle about the fact that they are indoctrinating these kids to believe and fight for exactly what Vought wants them to believe in and fight for.

There is such a sweet longing between Marie and Jordan, I love it so much. Jordan is so hurt that Marie escaped and left them in the prison. They even kind of blame her for Andre’s death. But they obviously still care very deeply about each other. I love them so much.

“I think it's easier to be angrier with you then to be terrified of losing you”

YEAH KISSES

Having Polarity on this all teenager team is hilarious. It's like he’s the babysitter to a bunch of drunk toddlers. He and Emma go on a recon mission and Emma is clearly super high but she is the one that gets them what they need. She is the greatest.

And of course The Deep was the leader of this shitty fucking fraternity so he’s on campus leading this dumbass ritual.

Sam is piecing together the fact that Emma was there when Kate was attacked and it's causing some physical repercussions because what he feels when he thinks about Emma in general directly contradicts Kate's instructions to not feel anything.

On this little recon mission we find a secret room where Polarity and Emma discover that Thomas Godolkin was a KKK, White supremacist. This really shouldn’t shock anyone.

Emma is learning how to control her powers without having to binge or purge and it makes me so happy. This is literally the best character development ever given to a character and I am so in love with her.

Marie and Jordan hook up and they are so cute. Except Marie drops the L bomb so fast, and shit gets awkward because of course it does.

Sam’s brain is clearly still so fragile. He blames Emma for Kate’s injury but Emma is not fucking around, she confronts him with facts that he can’t handle and tells him that hes gonna have to face up to what hes done.

Vought uses Kate’s attack to basically launch a war on humans, using these stupid brainwashed teenagers.

Kate wakes up surrounded by bodies and blood. Clearly the experiments being done were not to create supes but to create a very blood thirsty army.

This season is being paced so well. There is a perfect balance of action and quieter character moments. I love watching the tension build, the writing on this show is so far better than the whole last season of The Boys.
