So, I’ve talked about Marvel and all sorts of cool stuff in my past stories. You can check them out later, I’ll drop the links. But today, let’s dive into Marvel’s awesome ‘What If…?’ series and the mind-blowing content lined up for us in 2024. Exciting times are ahead!

What is Marvel’s ‘What If…?’ series?

Marvel’s “What If…?” series is a fantastic animated show that flips the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) we know and love.

It takes us on a wild ride by exploring alternative storylines and showing us what could have happened if things had turned out differently.

What if Peggy Carter, the badass Agent from Captain America, was the one who received the Super Soldier Serum instead of Steve Rogers?

That’s precisely what you get to see in one episode of “What If…?” In this alternate reality, Peggy becomes the super-powered Captain Carter, leading the charge against evil and changing the course of history.

But that’s just the beginning! Each episode tackles a new scenario, shaking up familiar events from the MCU movies.

We get to see crazy twists and turns, like T’Challa becoming Star-Lord instead of Peter Quill, or Doctor Strange using his powers for dark and dangerous purposes. It’s like a playground of endless possibilities!

The show is voiced by many of the original MCU actors, so it feels familiar and authentic. You’ll hear the voices of Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and many more. It adds an extra layer of excitement and nostalgia to the series.

The animation style is stunning too. It combines the classic comic book aesthetic with a fresh, vibrant look. The action sequences are mind-blowing, and the attention to detail in each frame is fantastic. You’ll be glued to the screen, taking in every vivid moment.

One of the coolest aspects of “What If…?” is how it connects to the larger MCU. While the show explores alternate realities, it also introduces a character, The Watcher, voiced by Jeffrey Wright.

He’s this omnipotent being who observes and narrates the events unfolding in each episode. It’s clever to tie everything together and remind us that these alternate realities exist within the vast Marvel multiverse.

Whether you’re a die-hard Marvel fan or just someone who enjoys good storytelling, “What If…?” has something for everyone. It’s a fun and refreshing take on familiar characters and storylines. Plus, it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for future MCU movies and TV shows.

What is this new content coming in 2024?

Marvel just announced more ‘What If…?’ stuff for 2024, but hold up, it won’t be on Disney Plus. You know how much fans love that show, right? Ever since it dropped in 2021, people have been begging for more.

But hold on, don’t despair! That doesn’t mean you’ll be waiting forever for new ‘What If…?’ stuff. Random House Works and Marvel Entertainment just dropped a bombshell: they’re releasing three ‘What If…?’ novels in 2024.

These books take place in different universes within the Multiverse and give fresh origin stories for some of Marvel’s big-name heroes. And get this, these books are just the beginning of a longer series about a whole new group of heroes.

The first book, called ‘What If…Loki Was Worthy?’ A Loki and Valkyrie Story by Madeleine Roux will hit stores on March 12, 2024. It’s set in a universe where Loki is the one rocking Mjölnir instead of Thor.

Then, in July 2024, we’ll get the second book, ‘What If…Wanda Maximoff and Peter Parker Were Siblings?’ A Scarlet Witch and Spider-Man Story, written by Seanan McGuire.

And to wrap it all up in October 2024, Mike Chen brings us ‘What If…Marc Spector Was a Host to Venom?’ A Moon Knight and Venom Story.

Oh, and here’s a taste of what’s in store: the first novel starts with one of Loki’s pranks accidentally offing his bro, Thor. So, Odin banishes Loki to Earth, where he has to lay low with the humans. But guess what? Valkyrie pops up and turns Loki’s life upside down. They team up to find Jane Foster and carry out Thor’s dying wish. Talk about an adventure!

Oh, and Random House made it clear that these novels are more for adult readers, so you can bet your socks they’re gonna be action-packed and wild. You can pre-order the Loki book for about 28.99 bucks from most online bookstores. The audiobook will cost you about the same, and the eBook is gonna run you around 15 bucks.

Final Words

So, mark your calendars. All three ‘What If…?’ novels and audiobooks are dropping throughout 2024, with the first one hitting shelves on March 12, 2024. It’s gonna be a wild ride!
