Disney+ is still glitchy ...

It has been a while now since Disney+ has been officially released in October 2019. It's 2020 now and Disney+ is still claiming that these glitches are fixed. Meanwhile, you only need to make a quick google search to see that those who use Disney+ are still upset about these rookie glitches. If the glitches weren't enough on their own ... their also a serious lack of original content.

I kept Disney+ for a few months waiting for the improvements. I kept hoping for more content and better streaming quality ... but they never delivered. Once I re-watched all my childhood favorites and all of the episodes of the Simpsons ... there just wasn't a reason for me to continue my Disney+ membership. So I cancelled it. To clarify, I'm saying that Disney+ has left me disappointed and I have returned back to Netflix and my main streaming website.

Just a week after Disney+ was released, Disney announced that their early glitches were fixed. However just by watching a few minutes of The Simpsons would determine that this is not true. To be fair, I was watching Disney+ through my PlayStation and the quality appeared to be better when I was watching it on my laptop. However, I am not the only person who wants to watch Disney+ on their consoles and quite frankly .... I expected so much better from a big company like Disney.

Disney spent a lot of money advertising their new streaming service the day it came out ... but they still couldn't figure out the basics of running a streaming service. This really makes me question where they are investing their money. In order to compete with Netflix, Disney+ is going to need a lot more new and original content, and fast!

So, what makes Disney+ so noticeably glitchy?

I have 3 major complaints that I believe Disney+ needs to fix ASAP! The first is that I find myself watching the same part 2 0r 3 times .... and it gets annoying. The second is that I can't just the streaming quality to a lower level at an attempt to avoid these repeated moments. My last complaint and arguably the strangest is ... the sound level. The level of sound seems to change on it's own while I am watching Disney+. It is a strange glitch and I have never had this problem with any other streaming service ever. The most annoying part about it is when I raise the sound to compensate ... then switch to something else and the sound is way to loud there. Thanks Disney+ for the headache.

In summary, my 3 biggest complaints for Disney+

Repeat ... repeated moments

Didn't we just see this part? ... like 3 times in a row ...

We still can't set streaming to a lower level ...

Why is their no manual control on my half? Is that coming later or ... does Disney just not care?

What is going on with the sound?

Sometimes it's way too loud, sometimes it's way too quiet and sometimes it dramatically switches between the two.

They spent so much money on advertising ... couldn't they have invested into their platform a bit more? Seriously, I'm still bitter about this!

Here are some quotes from people (and Disney) talking about the Disney+ glitching issue:

"The demand for #DisneyPlus has exceeded our highest expectations. We are so pleased you’re excited to watch all your favorites and are working quickly to resolve any current issues. We appreciate your patience." - Disney (2019)

"Disney could have designed Disney Plus to accommodate peak demand well over the number of projected Day One users, but that probably wouldn't have been as cost-effective as fixing problems on the fly." - Schlossnagle

"Disney Plus Review: Great Content, Bad Technology" - Erik Kain

"People Are Writing #DisneyPlusFail On Twitter" - Stefanie Ucci

"I kind of can't believe Disney+ is still as glitchy as it is. Like glitches at launch I think are forgivable for a new service but we're 4 months in and it still has so many weird little issues." - Sean Kelley

"One of my favorite shows of 2019 was The Mandalorian. I’d say, in all honesty, it was one of my favorite shows of the entire decade ... The streaming service that hosts The Mandalorian is not." - Erik Kain
