Will Kristen step in to save Rachel?

Days of Our Lives fans have suspected that Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) shot her uncle, EJ Dimera ( Dan Feuerriegel). He recalled during a hypnosis session with Marlena Evans (Deidra Hall) that the shooter was a female but is blocking out the identity.

Soap Dirt indicates that a leaker revealed earlier in the year that Rachel was the shooter. The spoiler also says that Kristen Dimera (Stacy Haiduk) might figure it out and lie in court that she shot her brother.

Some fans thought a change was coming when Halsey took over the role of Rachel from Fineley Rose Slater, but her predecessor was not fired. She left DOOL to star in the reboot of Little House on the Prairie. Both girls are 10, so no aging of the character is involved. It was a simple recast.

Days viewers know Kristen will do anything to protect her daughter, so if this plot twist is true, fans will see how far she is willing to go. Of course, the truth will eventually be revealed, and perhaps Rachel can obtain the counseling she needs. This child has grown up in the Dimea Mansion, and who knows the horrors she has endured that did not play out on screen.

Where is Susan Banks when you need her?

Susan Banks (Haiduk) has been getting vibes that Stefano Dimera (Joseph Mascola) is still alive, and she knew her grandson, Johnny Dimera (Carson Boatman), was innocent of shooting her son. She has not been in any scenes with Rachel, but if she were, she would probably sense that the child had something to do with the shooting of her dear Elvis.

Will Susan figure out that Rachel is guilty and Kristan is covering for her, or will she be far away as the trial continues and Kristian admits to a shooting she did not commit?

What was Rachel's motive for shooting EJ?

Days of Our Lives fans are wondering what could have been the motive for Rachel to shoot her uncle? Everyone knows she is a troubled child, but to aim a gun and pull the trigger is serious. She was possibly angry that he sent her grandmother, Rachel Blake (Rosalind Gentry), away.

DOOL viewers remember that the two Rachels hatched a plot to get Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) out of the way, and the two quickly bonded. Rachel probably heard Kristen pleading with EJ not to hurt her mother and begging him to tell her what he had done with Ms. Blake. There is no telling what may have transpired off-screen in the Dimera mansion that has further troubled the child.

Rachel had motive and opportunity

Rachel took the witness stand on Tuesday and admitted that she saw her uncle, Johnny, pointing a gun at EJ. She also admitted that there was enough time for someone else to come in the house and shoot her uncle from the time she went to her bedroom and heard the gunshots.

Fans know that Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) found his gun in the shrubbery outside the house. This suggests that Rachel came back downstairs, retrieved the gun, and used it to shoot EJ.

Will Kristen's plan work?

Rachel has had her day in court, so she will not incriminate herself on the witness stand. She has been overly concerned that Johnny would be arrested for a crime he did not commit, and her own guilt could be why. What will transpire that leads Kristen to suspect her daughter was the shooter?
