Black Warrant Ending Explained: Did Charles escape?

Tudum!!! There is confusion among many people regarding the ending of Netflix's web series Black Warrant. In the last episode of the show, it seems that everything is going well and everyone's life is coming on track, but in the last moment, something happens that makes us think. It forces you to wonder what happened and how it happened.

So, as you must have understood from the title, today we will talk about Black Warrant Season 1 ending, and I will also try to give you an update about Season 2.

Before the ending, let's talk about a little recap of the series, so what happens in the series from the beginning?

So the series plot revolves around Sunil Kumar Gupta who is appointed as a new jailer in Tihar Jail. This entire series is also based on the book written by him.

Sunil comes from a middle-class family background, and working in challenges like Tihar Jail was quite challenging, how difficult it was for him; you can see this thing better in the show.

During his duty, he faced many convicts getting hanged, fights among prisoners, his beating, pressure from senior officers, family pressure and many more.

His character has been portrayed very well in this entire series, which makes the story also very engaging.

WELL, now let's talk about the ending of the series.

So in the last episode of the series, we get to see how Gupta and his companions together have made the entire prison environment completely peaceful.

The leader of the Tyagi gang has also been shifted to some other place and other prisoners are being kept in a mixed ward according to their alphabets.

Amidst all this, we also see that Charles requests Sunil to celebrate his birthday, and he wants sweets to be served to everyone; Sunil also agrees.

In the last few minutes of the series, we see that all the police, prisoners and guards are lying unconscious and when Sunil runs to Charles' room, Charles is not found there. There is a book named Disappeared on the table in his room and the series ends here.

Well, this was a clear hint that Charles had escaped from jail.

On the pretext of his birthday, Charles ordered sweets and laddus in the jail which had something fixed mixed in them. Upon eating them, the guards and all the people fell unconscious and Charles took advantage of this and escaped.

The series ends here and also gives a hint about season 2.

As you all know, Black Warrant is based on a book, and if you follow the story of the book, then this is the middle part of the book, and we get to read a lot more in the book.

Even the Nirbhaya case incident is mentioned in the book.

So it means that there is a lot more to see in the whole story.

Well, now everyone's question is whether season 2 will come.

Well, the simple answer is that it depends on the viewership and popularity of the show whether season 2 of this show will come or not.

If the show gets a good response, then the second season of the series will come, but if it does not get that good response and the makers do not find that response positive, then maybe they should not make season 2.

But if we talk about the current scenario, then the show is getting a very good response overall, and if we talk about the story of the book, then a lot is still left to be written or, say, a lot is still left to be adapted.

So we can certainly expect season 2 and if we talk about a possible release date, if this series is renewed then we can get to see season 2 of the series in 2027.

As of now, there is no news of renewal.
