“Cookbook For Southern Housewives” Exclusive Screening In Beverly Hills

“Cookbook For Southern Housewives” exclusive screening at the Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills

THERE’S NO BIZ LIKE SHOWBIZ!

During the “Golden Age of Hollywood,” notable starlets like Lucille Ball made Beverly Hills their sanctuary. Known for its flamboyant Rodeo Drive and fancy Beverly Hills Hotel, the luxurious landmark is no stranger to glamour and showbiz. Beverly Hills has hosted multiple premieres and screenings at its theaters, such as the premiere of “How to Marry a Millionaire,” starring Marilyn Monroe, which premiered at the Fox Wilshire Theater (now the Saban Theatre) on November 4, 1953.

Seventy-two years later, I attended an exclusive screening at the Fine Arts Theater in Beverly Hills on March 23, 2025. The “Cookbook For Southern Housewives” film is outstanding and worth the wait! Although the official release date hasn’t yet been released, film director Josie Hull is on her way to becoming one of Hollywood’s most successful female directors! Did you know she wrote and directed her first film when she was just 18 years old? Impressive!

When the driver sent me a message to let me know he had arrived, I immediately rushed out of the hotel…..with class and grace, of course! As usual, I miscalculated time, immersed in the sound of music, getting lost in time doing my makeup. But nevertheless, I arrived on time, gazing out the window in love with the beautiful scenery of Beverly Hills! I will be secretive and won’t mention familiar faces I’ve seen on television inside the theater, but it was an experience standing in line with upcoming and notable actresses and actors as we all waited patiently for our popcorn and soda before the film began! Cool right?!?

Moreover, actors inside the same building as me were revealed in the screening, ultimately increasing my anticipation of the official release! For instance, “All American” star Micheal Behling stars as ‘Burke’ in the upcoming film, delivering a stellar performance! I enjoy watching Behling as “Jordan Baker” in All American series! His character has shown exquisite character development, which has oozed into his life as an actor. Although I love to see him on the big screen, his twin sister “Olivia Baker” (Samantha Logan) is my favorite character!

The rebellious journalist Olivia speaks to me. As I consider myself a rebel, not to mention, I’m a journalist! In addition, Olivia’s character in the series recently discovered herself during a year of study in Paris. Self-discovery is prominent. In my opinion, your never too old to learn new tricks and skills! I would love to stay in Paris for a year and study journalism, as I am always looking for ways to improve myself as a woman, journalist, and broadcaster! Enough about me, let’s get back to the main event!

I was shocked that Behling made an appearance! I was even more shocked he shaved his beard! On a serious note, I saw him at the exclusive screening sitting a couple of rows ahead of me enjoying his performance along with “All American” co-star Greta Onieogou. By the way, did you know Greta was a Canadian? I wonder if she’s a fan of Vanity or Drake. I guess we’ll have to wait to find out!

As for a sneak peek, here’s an insight into the film—Cookbook For Southern Housewives is the first female-led and directed mafia movie set between 1969 and 1973. The film follows the journey of southern housewife Bonnie Carson (Lindsay Shiner), who has gained a sense of rebellion due to her lackluster marriage. Bonnie becomes romantically involved with Dixie’s mafia boss Burke Woods (Micheal Behling), ultimately igniting a magnetic passion that leads to marriage, crime, and death.

What’s coming next…..Release date? New Trailer? Premier announcement? Press Tour? That’s the mystery and magic of Hollywood. This exclusive screening is the ultimate cliffhanger!
