Forgiveness is something that has to be earned, Are you willing to do that?

The stakes are high in season 3 of Barry. Now that Gene knows that Barry killed Janice Moss, Barry attempts to make up for it. As Sally is in midst of getting her own show on its feet, Fuches is out for revenge. Is anybody safe?

I was so excited for season 3 of Barry that it was all I could talk about for weeks. Each night after the episodes concluded I was left in shock, grasping my head, and finding myself unable to sleep during the night. Season 3 of Barry is an intense ride as each character travels into pits of darkness.

The words that I have to describe Bill Hader’s phenomenal growth as an actor would turn into an essay. Barry has gone off the deep end reaching his lowest point. Hader conducted a tremendously emotional, unhinged, and profound enactment as the dwindling hitman. His subtle nuances and expressive countenance were brilliantly performed.

Performances were off the charts this season. This show tests the abilities of the cast, whether comically or dramatically. The best moments of acting that I’ve ever seen happen.

Henry Winkler was the standout. He is a very talented actor. As he reported, this season was the most intense of his entire acting career.

Sarah Goldberg has mastered the character of Sally. Going from having her dreams right in her hands until it’s all taken away, Sally exhibits vicious behavior. I have always had mixed feelings about Sally. The way Goldberg examines this character, specifically her broken past is done well.

Fuches (Stephen Root) could have had a stronger story. Some of his segments felt like filler. Nonetheless, Fuches is the definition of evil. Root is tremendous at all his deliveries. The phone conversation between Barry and Fuches in episode 3 was my favorite.

Anthony Carrigan is hilarious as the quirky Noho Hank. Hank is tested beyond his limits. I wanted to cry from witnessing his demeanor shatter away. I was hoping we’d see more of Carrigan’s dramatic side, and he delivers a moving performance in the finale.

A few notable actors to recognize are D’Arcy Carden, Michael Irby, James Hiroyuki Liao, Michael Bofshever, and a strong performance by Robert Wisdom. There is also an appearance by Elsie Fisher. I’m not sure how necessary her character was as she disappears and is never mentioned again.

Expect the unexpected. Bill Hader and Alec Berg made wise decisions in their direction. They took the show to new limits, testing unique methods to direct an action sequence or with camera angles.

The motorbike chase in episode 6 goes down as one of the best chase sequences. This show has a high focus on cinematography. Hader and Berg pull in audiences with the right driving tension. If only the episodes could be longer.

Barry is a dark comedy. The show utilizes a unique touch of comedy. At some points, the comedy felt unnecessary and over the top, but after I thought about it, we definitely needed comedic moments from all the intensity this season.

Brace yourselves, this is one intense season. It gets stressful. Not only are there gruesome kills but the threatening behavior or nerve-wracking tension could trigger viewers. The final episode was so engrossing that I had to take a few deep breaths once it ended.

It is going to be a long wait until season 4. I am going to miss watching this show on my Sunday nights. I beckon you to watch Barry on HBO. It’s worth a watch.
