227: The real reason Tiffany Holloway disappeared after season 2
Kia Goodwin portrayed the daughter of Rose Halloway who was not recast and returned a few years later.

227 had Family values
227 was a popular NBC sitcom that ran from September 14, 1985, to May 6, 1990. The main characters were Mary Jenkins, (Marla Gibbs) Lester Jenkins (Hal Williams) Brenda Jenkins, ( Regina King) Sandra Clark (Jackee Harry) Pearl Shay (Helen Martin), Calvin Dobbs (Curtis Baldwin), (Rose Hallowway) Alaina Reed Hall, and Tiffany Halloway (Kia Goodwin).
The show emphasized the value of family connections as Mary and Lester helped their daughter through the trials of being a teenager and tried to keep Brenda from growing up to fast. Pearl was a doting grandmother to Calvin and Rose was a loving mother to Tiffany. Calvin's parents and Tiffany's father were never on the show but the 227 residents looked out for each other and considered trhemselves a family unit..
Tiffany's exit was never explained
All of the main cast remained until the end of the series except for Tiffany who disappeared without an explanation after season two. Goodwin became a recurring guest star during the second season and reprised the role for the last time in the season 3 episode "The Sing-Off". Tiffany was not seen again and was mentioned only a few times after Goodwin exited the role.
It was assumed that she was around somewhere but the show could have given an explanation such as that she was living with her father or perhaps sent to a boarding school. Instead during the final two season of 227 she was simply nonexistant. There is a reason the actress left the hit sitcom and it was because of her mother.
Kia 's mom did not like living in California so NBC let the actress out of her contract and she and her mom moved back to New York. Things must have been pretty bad for Goodwin's mom to pull her away from a hit television show Charlotte Cassadine on General Hospital abruptly left her popular role and was replaced by Amelie McLane. The reason was because Fernandez's parents decided to move to Oklahoma to a horse farm.

Kia Goodwin's early career
Kia Joy Goodwin was born on August 2, 1973 in Montclair New Jersey and began her career at age 3 in 1976. She got her start in television commercials for products like AT&T, Jello Pudding and M&M's. In 1981 she appeared on the ABC Afterschool Special and also joined the First National Touring Company of Annie, where she played the role of Duffy.
In 1982, after the tour was over she joined the final Broadway cast of Annie in the roles of Tessie and then Kate. During this same time, she went on to work on an ABC Afterschool Special and in 1984 she had a role in Growing Up on Broadway.
Goodwin's career continued
Her mother's decision to move back to New York did not halt Goodman's career as in addition to continuing acting she is also a producer. She does not have much of a social media presence but she obviously has fond memories from 227 based on the above tweet.
After leaving 227 her career began again in 1993 in the HBO movie Strapped. In 1998 she returned to Broadway in Paul Simon's musical "The Capeman" and later that year she co-starred opposite Jennifer Aniston in the film, The Object of My Affection .
n 2000 she was in the movie The Opportunist and also in televisions shows such as Law and Order, Law and OrderSpecial Victims Unit, Platinum, Jake In Progress, and Barbershop. There is no record of the 49 year old actress being married, having children or any additional acting roles. Ironically the actress returned to the Sunshine State as she is now listed as living in Santa Barbera, California
