2 Things I Still Don't Know Why I Did in Big Brother House - Whitemoney

Big Brother Naija is a very interesting show where we at home get to sit back and watch people in the house go about living their lives, completing tasks, and doing things to entertain us. But at some point, the contestants in the house come out and they too get to watch themselves back on the television the same way we did.

Winner of the last Shine Ya Eye season of Big Brother, Whitemoney was asked during a Channels TV interview with Ebuka about things that surprised him when watching himself back and about how people feel like he was fake in the house. Here is how Whitemoney responded to both questions.

During the interview, Ebuka asked Whitemoney about what surprised him when watching himself back on the show and about how he feels that people believe he was fake in the house. Here's what they said:

Ebuka: You look back on the house now and the journey and I don't know if you've seen any of the clips and wondered "What was I thinking here?" "What is this thing I was doing?" Maybe not necessarily regret but things you just look and wonder "hian?"

Whitemoney: There was one that I saw where I was in the kitchen, only me, I think I was talking to myself and cracking my waist saying "Ukwu might need alignment and balancing" (laughs). I said, "Ah, but daughter of Zion no dey" (laughs). What was I saying? How can I say that there? And the one that always makes me laugh is the one that I sat on the floor, scraping the pot, I said how did I get there? It keeps getting me whenever it plays in my videos. Like did I really sit on the floor to scrape the pot? But that's who I am. That's who I am.

Ebuka: You say that's who you are but one of the criticisms you got was people saying that you were not yourself in the house. There are people who believ that you went in there, you had watched the show for years, and you had a plan on how you were going to execute your stay in the house. You were going to be the guy was a people's person, you threw jokes around, you were funny at certain points, you necessarily didn't want to fight with anybody just to coast through, and of course the cooking which continues to be a talking point. I know you've said a lot of times that that's who you are but why do you think that sort of observation doesn't go away?

Whitemoney: It doesn't go away because it's not easy for people who live a normal life to live like that. In the society we live, morals are very hard to come by. So it's very hard to find a young man in his 30s that has so much morals. If there's anything I get perfectly, it's the fact that I was raised right. So the only thing I know how to do is what I did: cook, clean, care for people, that's what I know how to do. So I came into the house, I saw the place my strength could be strong, I capitalized on it. I didn't even know it was helping me outside the house. I was just being me and then when I saw that this thing is something I was able to do well, the cooking, cleaning, I stuck to it because that's my own point. I can't craft script like Liquorose, I cannot rehearse poem like Saskay, I cannot act like Pere. My own brain has its own limits, so the one wey I sabi, I capitalized on it.
