WRC10 celebrates the 50th anniversary and all that is FIA World Rally Championship in a year full of challenges. KT Racing has provided a solid foundation in WRC9 from which to build upon, and it has generally succeeded with more options and things to do. Things continue to be affected by the same problems as years ago, which have not been fixed. WRC10 has so much more content than previous years, making it an excellent entry point and reason for you to sign up for another year, as Sebastien Ogier did for Toyota in the 2021 season.

Four new rallies are being added to the real-life WRC this season: Spain, Estonia, Spain and Croatia, which have replaced Mexico. Pirelli is the only tire manufacturer that will be used during this season. Their presence can be felt in the tire writing. WRC10 has a new 50th anniversary mode. This interactive and historic way to see the history of the championship with 20 iconic cars from the sport, is . Many things have changed over the years, but many will be familiar to those who have kept up with the sport throughout its history.

You will find the 50th Anniversary Mode on a separate menu. To get a feel for what the championship will require, you'll first have to go through the first rally. You must beat each scenario or time trial in order to unlock the next race. These are great and allow the series to continue to improve on the mode in the future. Strangely, you can't replay a challenge once you have won it. It's possible to replay the challenge, but I couldn't find a way. It's a puzzle to me as I would love to replay my favorite moments from the championship's history. This will hopefully be corrected in a post-release update.

WRC Mode will be where you'll most likely spend your time. A new career can be started where you are both a manager and a driver. You can also start the season mode, where you are a driver and manager for a team without any managerial control. The only difference is that you don't have to make decisions. You can create a Private team from these modes for use in seasons or careers. You can either start in Junior WRC, or you can skip the line to quickly get into WRC3. This time, you can choose not only the nationality of your driver but also whether it is a male or female. The British man co-driver was overbearing and his reactions were dramatic to me.

There are online modes as well as traditional multiplayer. You can also return to the eSports section and watch or participate in them later. There are also rotating, limited-time daily, weekly and special challenges that the developers have created. It's exciting to play on a stage that has random selections. There is no preparation required to get a spot on the leaderboard. There are many things to do. The new coach system can help you figure out what to do if you aren't sure.

Livery editing is now available for the first time in the series. This editor will allow you to create historical liveries that are not available in the game. You can also make your own unique liveries and share them with others. Although it's not as powerful as the Forza series of liveries, the editor is a great start. It is simple to use and will make any budding artist feel at home. I am excited to see what people create here.

You can also complete another fifty challenges, each one with a bronze or silver medal. You can also use the test area as a place to relax or to improve your skills. This year, there are new in-game challenges that will help you achieve progress such as drifting and in-air time. You can earn experience in the anniversary mode that will count towards your overall driver level. You will find that there is a lot of progress and meters rising this year, which makes all your work meaningful.

Performance is excellent on PC at 60fps. However, even with an RTX3080 Ti, there's some random and inexplicable stuttering. Frame pacing issues continued to plague me, even though it was around 90fps. If you've got the game ALT+TAB'd, then there are crashes to the desktop. These are the same problems that KT Racing has struggled with for several years. The game is looking great with the return of dynamic weather. If the weather is good enough, there are some great views. Although there are visible improvements in graphic design, they quickly become stale. Lighting is one example. It often appears flat in most scenes. WRC 10 would be greatly benefited by RTX/DLSS. It's a shame that AMD is not implementing this tech.

WRC10 is the first title in the series to feel fully featured. There are many modes and options to choose from, which will make it a favorite and provide plenty of replayability for next year. Unfortunately, some bugs and other issues from previous years still persist in this year's entry. The issues are not particularly serious, but it is surprising that they haven’t been fixed. Long-time players will love the 50th Anniversary Mode. The highly-requested Livery Editor will also be a hit. This game captures the excitement of taking hairpin turns at high speed like a pro and then drifting through snow with elegance. WRC10 is a true representation of the sport and should not be missed.
