Why 7 Days to Die is a Great Game: I am coming to hate it less
I am becoming braver

Welcome back to my sort of blog? Where I talk about my gameplay of 7 Days to Die week by week. Although I still have a hard time with this game, it is simply because this game is that good. The zombies are terrifying and sneaky and I am often jump scared. And yet I cannot stop playing this fantastic survival horror game. This game has come a long way since it was created and they keep working to improve it. Now, without further ado, let's talk about my second week of 7 Days to Die.
After seeing a few zombies outside my escape route during my first blood moon, I was starving. And so I chose to be brave, and ventured down the road to a potential loot place. A small military base with a nice military truck and a level 3 blunderbuss. Killed a few zombies, then hopped the fence to get inside. I hid on the roof of a building for a minute, and noticed what looked like a dog run. No dogs showed their faces, so I hopped down and raided the building. Walked toward dog run and another building, bam the appeared.
Using my mad skills, I dispatched the dogs and found some food in their stalls. Stalls? Kennels. Sweet ambrosia at last! Continued my journey through the buildings, killed a couple nurses, and then I died. Big zombie in military looking garb was a hard hitter and I was so hungry my stamina was next to none. Hello grim reaper, do I owe you some XP? Still got time to run up the road and get my stuff before dark. Off I go with an extra spear and get my loot back. Fortunately death zombie has reset and I'm ready. Smash goes his head and I'm back on track.
Bag is full, home I go. Almost night but I decide to do some more defending and put up some spikes and dig a trench. Night time, time to do some crafting and cooking. Next day, I wander outside to see what zombies are out and about and I see a bear. A bear?! I am so glad I am high off the ground where he can't get me. But that's a lot of meat, which I need. So begins my journey of endlessly shooting the bear with arrows. Tries to get into the house area beneath me but gets stuck in the doorway. Realizing a blunderbuss is probably better, I use my remaining rounds and kill the bear!
Down I climb rather cautiously and chop up that bear and now I shan't go hungry for a few days at least. Took quite a few hours to kill the bear, so I gather some basic resources till night. Hide in my hole. Next day I decide to go exploring and find a burned out area. So this is one way to get coal and make gunpowder? Kill some burning zombies and find a house. Loot the house which is dark and spooky so I didn't get far. Thunder and dark clouds? Home I run. Spend the night cooking my bear meat. Delicious.
Next day we get a small horde outside my house, and draw them in using arrows. They get to my choke point and I bravely kill them. Spend the day wandering about trying to find stuff to make more gunpowder. Kill the occasional zombie and then realize I need more water. Down to the river I go with my forty something jars, and got water for days after I cook it. Find a house on the river I try to break into unsuccessfully so I loot outside and I'll come back later.
Back home I go and clean all my water so I don't get the runs when drink water. Next two days are spent gathering resources, I come across a couple wolves. Kill one without dying, second one is much larger and kills me right outside my house. Grab my blunderbuss I save for things like bears, and pow dead wolf and more meat for me! Gather more resources. The comes the day of the blood moon. I have successfully made it two the second one despite the anxiety, sweating, and shakiness.

I fill the floor below me with spikes, all entrances with spikes, dig a trench and line it with more spikes, and then upgrade my walls. Night comes and I wait. It's time, I can hear them, but I do not see them. I wait, thinking there is no way I won't see a zombie. Keep checking all my entrances and nothing. End of the blood moon, I wait till it's nice and light and go downstairs. Many of my spikes were destroyed but look! Loot bags! I successfully kept the zombies at bay using dozens of spikes!
So proud of what I accomplished I spend some time repairing the downstairs walls and making new spikes.
This is a GREAT survival game and I am really enjoying playing it despite the fact it terrifies me. You can find this game on Steam or on the official 7 Days to Die page. Have a good day all, and wash your hands.
