The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik Nascar Wagering Pool Game
The Outlaw Micheal Tomsik

With Nascar starting today February 14th 2021 I thought I would post a NASCAR Game I invented. This game was created in my bar in Oregon called the Outlaw Sports Bar and Grill. I had customers that loved Nascar and every time Nascar ran and was televised we would set up this game in the bar.
So here is what you will need to set up the game:
1) Wall board with round holes also known as pegboard. You do not need a really large piece just one that can hold up to 50 wall peg hangers. As far as a approximate size I would say 24 inches wide by 24 inches long at minimum. That would be 2x2.
2) Pegboard hangers to hang on the board also known as wall pegs. These do not need to be very big just big enough to hand a small circle or small hanging paper of the wall peg. You should not need them larger than one inch. You will need at least 40 to 50 of these wall pegs.
3) We used a Crown Royal Purple Bag but you will need a bag to toss the paper hangers into. You can use any bag that is available or a bowl.
4) A black marker or pen to write on the paper hangers.
5) Merchandise tags, you can buy these in 100 with strings.
6) 36 people to play the game but you can play with less people or more we had multiple boards going at the bar.
CARS IN NASCAR RACES:
So here is how the game works so if your a Nascar fan you are aware all races start with 36 cars. Each car has a number so you will need to research the cars ands the numbers on the cars.
This information is needed for the GAME!
TO PLAY THE GAME:
1) Take 36 of the merchandise tags and write on one side the number of all 36 cars in the race , not the drivers, the number on the cars!
2) Drop the tags into the bag or bowl for the people playing can pick a tag.
NOTE: You can even make it more fun by setting rules of your own on drawing the car numbers. Like use dice, or drinking game or other fun ideas you want to incorporate into the game.
MONEY: At the bar we used money $5 per tag. So if you collect for all the tags $180.00 was collected per board.
3) After the tags are drawn write the name of the person on the tag and hang it on the board. It does not matter in what position it is hung, but all 36 tags need to be hung on the board before the race starts.
PAY OUT FOR GAME: The pay out on the Game is for the Winner of the race, Second place, and Third place.
You can decide your payout amounts but we broke it down like this:
Third place $25, Second place $40, First place $115.
How you win:
When your car number comes in the positions that win the game. This would be First, Second, and Third Place. You could break it down even further any pay out for more positions but that does reduce the payouts.
First Place should always get the most of the pool. than Second Place, and Third Place, and you can go more if you want as this example:
Fifth place $10, Fourth Place, $20, Third Place $35, Second Place $45, First Place $70
You should always at least pay double for the last position you pay out so if you collect $5 the last position should at least pay $10, you can base your payouts on the money you collect for the pool.
END NOTE ON GAME RULES:
This is why it does not matter where your number is on the board. It is the numbers of the cars that are most important. If your number goes in First, Second, or Third place or positions you choose to pay out the person with the winning number on the tag wins the determined amounts from the pool.
