Tarkov's Community CAN Make Positive Changes to the Game
Early last week we had several stalwarts in the community reach out on their respective accounts and address the community at large about their issues with the game and how said issues have been causing problems that people may or may or have been acutely aware of. I mentioned in my last video briefly but Veritas led the charge with a 50-minute banger of a video going on his issues and the overall direction of the game from years gone. I think for the most part the majority of individuals agreed with his sentiments. Myself included. And luckily, it sounded like BSG was listening. Because numerous things happened to the game. Recoil in general got better, weight not as drastic, which in turn makes movement better. As well as armors not being as restrictive too. Overall, it was a lot of compounding issues being dialed back so the game can feel good to play once more. I myself am very happy with the outcome. It was something we needed but maybe some of us didn’t know how to articulate it. But luckily, there are people who can. And with a large enough audience to move some mountains around. And while the changes themselves are substantial, that’s not what I wanted to get into today. I wanted to remind everyone that no matter how bad things get, at the end of the day, if we come together as a community and constructively and respectfully explain our frustrations with the game, when most people seem to be on the same wavelength, we can get things done to the game and make it better for most.

Scarcity in Tarkov
While Tarkov in its current iteration has many glaring issues and it’s not even a matter of opinion at this point; we all are aware of how rough the game currently is right now. Fingers crossed all the issues we are currently experiencing will be addressed sooner rather than later. It sounds like that’s what the plan is for BSG, but in the meantime, these issues and the community at large coming together to talk about what has been happening has made me think a little more about some deeper layers of the game. I can’t speak for anyone at BSG, but I want to speak for myself a little bit. I go back, and watch the first in game trailer on factory, and I find myself having a stupid grin on my face. This is the Tarkov that I personally fell in love with. What we have now is still an incredible feat. But, it’s different. The game has come a long way from those early videos, and a lot has happened between then and now. And there are a couple core components that I feel as though Tarkov... hasn’t lost but maybe, misplaced? I’m not sure what the word is, but for me, one of the pinnacle components of Tarkov is scarcity, and the emotions that gameplay element brings alongside it.

I Strongly Advocate for Tarkov's New AUG
One of the most exciting additions that come with new patches in Tarkov, are all the new guns and attachments that usually coincide with a new patch. Ideally, we get two or three new weapons; sometimes more, sometimes less. But patch 0.13 was a solid one for new weapons. The RSH-12, the ASH-12 revolver which is basically a pocket monster, the SR-2, a new potential rival to the MP7 in terms of the king of SMG’s. And my personal favorite this wipe, one that I have been waiting a long time ever since I learned it would make it to the game: the AUG. In fact, we got two versions of it: the A-1, and A-3 versions respectively. While I haven’t used the other two guns because I’m not high enough of a level to run them effectively, I have been all over the AUG; especially since I've hit Peacekeeper level 3. I was really curious how it would perform and what was available to customize on it. And overall, my thoughts are positive. Much better to say when compared to something like the G36 where it was very rough when it initially released. Either way, the AUG has really caught my attention and has been the primary gun in my hands whenever I get the chance to run it (I've been doing punisher so my gear options have been limited recently, but since getting to part 4 it’s been my go-to weapon for that part of shoreline.)
