Visor Mechanics Need an Update in Tarkov
Now that we’ve gotten huge recoil changes in Tarkov, and the armor has also seen tons of changes to how its systems work, I think it’s time to tackle another mechanic in the game that has largely been overlooked for some time now. To be fair, this mechanic in particular seems rather limited in use than if we were to compare it to years prior. And what I'm talking about is the ability to wear a face shield down and aim down your weapon at the same time. Nobody has really considered this in recent times because face shields are rather difficult to acquire. And this is talking about full covering face shields, not eye protection ones. Those probably don’t need to get adjusted at all. But Fast MT shields, and especially Altyn shields; these two are the major contenders for why this change might feel necessary. But at the same time, while it might hurt these helmets even more than they already are, at the same time, it also allows BSG to add some new kit into the game that would be extremely interesting to see, and could allow these powerful items that have been basically locked off for good to make a proper return to form. So, let’s go over why face shields have been kind of removed from the game (at least the good ones), talk about what could be introduced to work with them, and how all of this could bring Altyns back into the game. Beginner Friendly Tips and Kits for Early Game Tarkov
My hope for this video as it’s aptly titled, is to try and give some information about what kind of weapons and kits players should be running in Escape From Tarkov if they are either new to the game, or down on their luck regarding how much money they have. This game is overwhelming with how much information it’s going to throw at you, and because of that, you can very easily forget what gear you should be using, what ammos are the best, or where the extractions are. My goal today is to hopefully provide some insight into what I normally find myself doing with early game kits, budget weapons, and my general attitude towards playing raids in Tarkov. When it comes to early game Tarkov, level one/two vendors, and trying to scrounge up materials to build a cohesive kit, there are a handful of elements that should be considered so that you have at least the bare minimum before going into a raid. I have a list of bullet points that we’ll be going through, and we’re going to try and navigate it quickly so I don’t take up too much of your time, so you can get back to raiding in Tarkov. Under the long rule of Sturm the Deathless the royal house eventually regained its status and prosperity, but it grew corrupt and morbid, leading the entire nation to revering the undead. One aristocrat after another turned to the Dark Arts to avoid death and hold onto the reigns of their power with bony hands. Life became cheap as the wealthy fed upon the poor, leeching the warmth of life from whomever they grew tired of to extend their false immortality. Love, joy, beauty, and compassion were gradually replaced by greed, hunger, vengeance, and cruelty.

Armor in Tarkov Doesn't Work Anymore.
About a month ago we talked about the new armor changes that have been added to Tarkov, and the implications of changing a mechanic so integral to the game meant for the player base. I wanted to give it some time, level up and get access to better base armor and plates before returning to this topic once more. And just like in the first video, I have done zero science or any testing to back up my feelings on this matter. I know many other creators were curious and wanted to see whether or not the new armor system worked correctly, but I don’t have the knowledge to collect that data and to be able to present it in a way that is cohesive, makes sense, and is accurate. So, everything I say here will once again be coming from experience over the course of the last month. And I can only speak from my own personal experiences, so take that for what it’s worth. Maybe it’s just me, but armor feels like it doesn’t do anything anymore. At least that’s what it feels like. On one hand, armor can tank entire magazines, yes. But sometimes those situations boil down to not the armor being strong, but the ammo used against it being bad. As well as poor aim from its user. Either way, the number of times I have come across dead PMC armor that is still almost full or completely full after a fight, has raised suspicion to the value of armor as a whole. Armor doesn’t do anything anymore. At least, that’s what it feels like these days. Dog Tags Need More Uses in Tarkov
Are there any items in Escape From Tarkov that you wish had more value, or use cases that could create more value for that specific item? For me, that easily has to be dog tags in the game. An item found off the dead players in your raids, they give you the information to figure out the basics of how they died, what level they were, and of course their name. But managing to get tags out of raids yields some opportunities. Aside from needed a bunch of each faction for some quests, dog tags also have some barters from the vendors. And while some are more enticing than others, ultimately the utility of dog tags isn’t being used to their maximum potential. Having more uses for dog tags in-game makes people more interested in retrieving as many tags in raid as possible. What new uses could dog tags have? Well, let’s go over some potential possibilities. And remember, these are just simple mock-up ideas; they might be balanced, they might be broken, and they might not work at all. But coming up with any possible extra uses for tags could create a more compelling gameplay loop. But regardless, dog tags have some uses, but could be expanded upon even further to give them more opportunities to shine. Why You Should Always Play Interchange at Night
Interchange has always been a problematic map to play on for many years now. At least in my own personal experiences. What boils down to a larger factory with an outside section, only having one primary point of interest, is going to create some problems. Awful spawns, poor distribution of loot, and limited extracts plague this map. My hope is soon, BSG decide that Interchange is the next map to get some updates. Whether that’s on the level of a factory style expansion, or something closer to what Shoreline got this wipe, the mall is a challenging map for reasons that go beyond the difficulty of learning the layout. However, overtime, I personally have begun to figure out ways to make playing on this map far less annoying than it normally might be. Granted, these don’t always work and should be taken with a grain of salt, because there are lots of factors that will go into your experience on Interchange, or really any map in the game to be honest. But the single largest adjustment that I have made is playing Interchange at night. And when I say nighttime, I mean in-game night. So usually after 20:00 or 8pm. The experience feels like a night and day difference, no pun intended, in how frequently you will come across PMCs, scavs, and anything trying to stop you from getting your tasks done; whatever they might be.
