The Allure of Strategy Games
Real-time strategy (RTS) games and turn-based strategy (TBS?) games have one major detail in common, they're all about money. One might assume when such a broad and vague statement is made, that the reference is to the real-world purchases that keep game companies afloat. In fact, this is instead a statement of a broader pool of currencies: battlefield currencies and national resources. Allow me a moment to reminisce and divulge the secrets of these worlds that are less about tactical domineering and more about economic engineering.

'Hearts of Iron IV': A Gamer's Review
So you've most likely won the Second World War on other games like Call of Duty and Medal of Honor as a Run N' Gun soldier without a care in the world. However, those games don't paint the picture of how it was actually won: with strategy, logistics, and painful-time consuming planning.

The New Season of Ranked Dota
Look to Reddit and see threads of people working the last six months only to drop a whole rank and the rest due to having some bad games during calibration, look to my own feed on the Dota homepage and I can see first hand countless friends drop ranks from Legend five to Archon three, from Archon 5 to Crusader 3 and for me from Archon 2 to Crusader one. Now on my main account where I have clocked 4,500 hours and had achieved a mere Crusader three rank. This is due to a multitude of reasons for me mainly being that I abandoned ranked for around 2,000 hours of play, feeling like a lot of players that my rank didn't quite reflect my skill and especially my knowledge. Unlike a lot though I didn't wish to buy an account to achieve my "true" mmr. I took on the challenge of creating a new account to play 100 games and unlock ranked. Then attempting another calibration this was mere weeks before the new calibration. I took on this task to prove to myself that I was above the players in the rank of crusader and I did, I achieved Archon 2 not what I aimed for but still it confirmed to me that I wasn't at my correct mmr.

The Game I Love
Ask anyone close to me what I love most in the world and they'll probably answer Dota 2; if they don't, they don't know we well enough. Throughout my roughly 2 years playing this game, I've amassed around 4,500 hours or 187 days of game time which to the average person would be a crazy amount of time to dedicate to one thing; however my 4,500 hours is a drop in the pond of what it takes to truly master this game.

Yugioh: Ghettoest Card Game Ever
In a previous article, I wrote about the worst video game companies, there was a reference to Yugioh and its parent company, Konami. Now, I will dive deeper into the god awful nature of the Yugioh community and what has been seen by similar communities as the most toxic group of individuals ever. Yugioh is a beloved anime by thousands, if not millions, of people across the globe. The game as well hosts international tournaments to see who is the best duelist across the planet. With that competitive nature comes a cost, though one Yugioh players pay higher than any other community. Here are my top five reasons Yugioh is the ghettoest card game ever.

Why Femme Fatale Is Arguably the Best 'DD' Party
Darkest Dungeon is a game about "making the best out of a bad situation." Because of this, it's first and foremost a strategy game. From skillfully allocating gold and resources on treatments, to knowing when to give up on a bad run, DD will test your planning and strategic ability. A huge part of this process is figuring out which members of your team to send out together on runs. Certain heroes can't be paired with others, like the Abomination and the Crusader, others simply don't fit well together, because none have the ability to hit the fourth slot enemy. After taking into account all of these considerations, the Femme Fatale lineup—consisting of the Hellion, Grave Robber, Plague Doctor, and the Vestal—is the best go-to team.

How To Get Better at 'League'
So I guess I'm going to write this as a stream a consciousness. I've always had these thoughts regarding how to help other players get better, to carry themselves out of their current ranking. There are a lot of YouTube videos around talking about learning characters, pick easy champs, and other silly stuff. I honestly believe in order for you to get better is to practice healthy habits regarding the game. So I am going to start and tell you what some of those habits are and 'm going to try and break it down a bit.

1 Hour Review: Papers, Please!
During the Steam sale, I picked up a game that I had seen talked about a lot. It’s called Papers, Please. First look at the game, I thought it was just going to be a silly game, where you just had to do things as quickly as possible, and then go from there, and get faster each day.
