Gaming Legacies: The Console Franchises That Defined Generations
Leaving a legacy is something that every game developer hopes to find when they introduce a new character or game in general. If a game is playable and has truly relatable characters, then it's more likely to have a legacy and a fan-base that wants more. A legacy game brings staying power to the developer and allow them to introduce future iterations and new games as well.

A Lineage Of Assassins: A Quick History of 'Assassin's Creed'
Eight years ago, my whole gaming experience was changed with the release of one game. I was, as were many others, trapped in the Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare circuit. They were the only games I played -- literally -- all day long some days. Then I was introduced to a brotherhood of assassins, and I never looked back. I started on a journey back in 2007 along with many other gamers, as we saw that there was more out there than the first person shooter. We've played through the games and waited patiently for Ubisoft to release the next new assassin and just prior to Halloween this year we were given a new game and new characters and it has been a glorious journey so far.

Japan, Germany, Russia? Where Next for Assassin's Creed?
If you know me, then you probably know that Assassin's Creed is unequivocally my all time favorite video game franchise. I have spent more hours than I probably am willing to admit pouring into my beautiful assassins over the last 8 years, yet I wouldn't change a thing. Assassin's Creed, to me, has been one of those games that wasn't about completing or mastering, it has always been about experiencing and being a part of something with a bigger story arc outside of the simple hack/slash or a streamline 1st person shooter. There's something that just draws me into the bigger story as it progresses through the different Assassins' individual lives.

Everything You Need To Know From Uncovered: 'Final Fantasy XV'
I'll be honest, I'm still freaking out. A lot of information was thrown at me last night during Square Enix's Uncovered event, and it had Final Fantasy fans understandably excited about a lot of things. Twitter was buzzing late into the evening as everything rolled out. There was a lot to take in at the event, with several announcements being made and a lot of big names from the company coming up and saying their piece. After getting a chance to process the whirlwind of information I was in, here's everything from Uncovered that I'm absolutely excited about.

'Final Fantasy XV Deluxe' And 'Ultimate Collector's Edition' Are Available
As of March 30 at 9:00 p.m. PST, Final Fantasy XV: Deluxe Edition and Final Fantasy XV: Ultimate Collector's Edition have been made available for pre-order. Square Enix announced their availability during its Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event on the same day. The Ultimate Collector's Edition will have only 30,000 copies available for the public, making it a very limited run. But it won't be cheap, with the Ultimate Collector's Edition setting you back a whopping $269.99. It's currently available on the Square Enix Online Store.

Why SUPERHOT Is Poised To Be A Must-Have For Gamers
Awesome games get released every year and they all have something to offer to the gaming landscape either in the realm of graphics, storytelling, or general gameplay. For the most part, though, a lot of games borrow elements from each other and there a standard aesthetic starts forming. Every now and again, though, a game comes out that brings something refreshingly new to the landscape. SUPERHOT just so happens to be one of those games.

Fallout 4: War Never Changes And I'm Strangely Okay With That
I'll be honest with you, I've been playing a lot of Fallout 4. How much, you ask? Well, according to my trusty Steam Shame Trackerâ„¢, I know that I've sunk in about 294 hours into the game since its release on November 10th. I can't tell if that's a lot. It's probably a lot. Have I accomplished much? Have I found everything there is to find? Built everything that can be built? Nope. I've just made three separate game runs doing everything slightly differently from the previous run with vaguely different play styles. That's the magic of the Fallout games, isn't it? It's pretty much the same thing, but at the same time it's not. I've tried to come up with a reason why it's so appealing and it's really hard to put into words. I'm still going to give it a try though. Brace for ranting.
