The Best Gaming Console
Some events in your life seem to seal your destiny for many years to come. One such event took place in my life during the 1980's when my father surprised my brother and myself by purchasing us the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). We had played it before at a relative's house, but that does not compare to owning one yourself and playing whenever you want to (or at least when Mom and Dad say it's ok). The fatherly gesture made that day would spark a love for gaming in me that, 30 years later, has yet to let go. Thinking about the time I've spent gaming over those years, I began wondering, what was the best time I had and with what console. For me, this was actually a tough choice between my number 1 and 2 spots, so, because the choice was so close, we'll begin with the runner-up.

Gaming, Dad Style
I've always enjoyed gaming—maybe a little too much, at times—but at the beginning of this year, I found out I was going to be a father. Putting aside all the emotions that come with that, I set out to find ways to make my habit a little easier to keep up, even with a newborn around.

Why I'm Hype as F*** for Super Mario Odyssey
I never got to play Super Mario 64. It was a bit before my time. Apparently, it was one of the most mind-blowing games of the time, along with Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I didn't have a Nintendo 64. Video games were seen at the time as still a "boys" thing to do. I did have a Gameboy Color, though, which I was able to convince my parents to get me because it was so cheap in comparison. Pokemon Yellow was my first Nintendo game, and I never looked back.

Nintendo 64 Memories
I would never call myself a hard core gamer. I am not, nor will I ever be, at that level. I call myself a casual video game player. I think video games are a really cool medium, and I even support the cause that says that video games are art. Despite many of the video games in my possession still being unbeaten, video gaming was a huge nostalgic part of my childhood, from getting my Game Boy Advance SP for Christmas to going over to my friend's house and bonding over Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. However, nothing gives me a sense of amazing sentimental value than going over to my grandparents' house for a visit, and playing the Nintendo 64 that was kept in their basement.

Nintendo's 4K Plans (Or Lack Thereof) vs. User Friendliness. Top Story - October 2017.
Nintendo probably isn't the company that springs to mind when you think of cutting-edge technologies. If anything, they might be the exact opposite, holding on to old technologies and refining what has been proven to work rather than leading the pack in quickly-outdated technologies trying to chase the newest dollar.

Ten Creepiest Creatures from the 'Metroid' Series
Metroidis one of the longest running Nintendo game franchises not named Mario or Zelda, being a groundbreaking video game series by starring a female character, Samus Aran, as well as gaining critical acclaim for its gameplay and strong science fiction setting. Anyone who has ever played any installment in the series can vouch for the inspiration it has taken from the Alien franchise, up to and including the horror elements in its designs. Most of the creatures Samus fought over the years can look unnerving, but a select few can be called truly horrific. WithSamus Returns, the remake of Metroid 2: The Return of Samus, coming for the Nintendo 3DS and a new Metroid Prime installment coming to the Nintendo Switch in the future, let's look back at ten of the most frightening enemies that the bounty hunter Samus Aran has ever faced over her long career.
