10 Classic Nintendo Games That Deserve a Reboot
Since the beginning of the video game evolution peaked around most of our childhood days, our younger years consisted of absolutely amazing games. Since video game companies were experimenting and releasing games straight from their ideas, they wanted to see which ones would become a major hit and which didn't. Even though there were a ton of games many of us enjoyed playing, there were also games that had us snoozing by level three. Certain video games simply bored us, and this was a way for companies to determine which games worked well and which didn't.

'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Review. Top Story - March 2018.
From the very moment I began playing the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I knew that I was in for something special. I have played and owned well over three hundred video games throughout my life, and I have never had as much consistent fun with a game as this one. The opening moments of the game are pure gold, with constant momentum of discovery throughout the title’s relatively long duration. One of the beautiful things about Breath of the Wild is that there is no particular correct way to go about playing the game; it drops you into Hyrule, and just says “Go.” The direction you take Link in is entirely up to you.

Nintendo Direct: 3-18-18 Thoughts and Feelings
Nintendo always knows how to answer questions, but always leave us asking more. I’m not saying that’s a good or bad thing, but this Direct really emphasized that feeling for me. As I personally expected, there wasn’t much 3DS news aside from a few games, and the Switch looks like it’s going to get some great new titles. I’ll give a basic rundown of a few things that stuck out to me, and a few of my own thoughts and feelings. This isn’t meant to be a substitute for the Direct itself, as I’m not a real video game journalist, so watch I’d suggest still watching it, especially if you want all the release dates.

How the Switch Switched My View on 'Mario Kart'
In my years of playing video games, I have never given Mario Kart the chance. Why? To be honest, it's not that I disliked the characters or the concept, it's just that I was always an active FPS game player. Why should I bother playing a game that didn't involve killing the other team? Well as I grew older I started to consider other games and their own styles.

'Arcana' for the SNES. Top Story - February 2018.
Arcana was one of the SNES games I found at the flea market. Back when I was a kid, my mom used to take me to a local flea market once or twice a month, and there were always tables with video games for sale. Even though Arcana wasn’t an old game at the time, it was released in 1992, it wasn’t one that stores carried much, and I don’t recall seeing it for rent at Blockbuster either, although I’m sure some stores carried it.

'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess' (Great in Concept, Underwhelming in Execution)
I wish to preface this by making it clear that this is simply my impression of the game, never having played the GameCube or Wii versions, and only getting into Zelda as of roughly two years ago, having first played Wind Waker HD and Skyward Sword before this. Also, it was by no means a bad game, it just wasn't everything I hoped or thought it would be. This is not intended to disrespect or invalidate anyone who enjoys this game. If you love it, that is great for you and I hope you continue to enjoy it. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get down to business!

So You Want to Be a Pokémon Master? - Sinnoh
With the advent of the Nintendo DS console came a new raft of Pokémon games, beginning with the Diamond and Pearl. These games saw the return of features like the real time clock (last seen in Gold and Silver) as well as new features like the Pokétch, an in-game device that allowed you to keep an eye on pokémon left in day-care, view your team without opening the in-game menu, and much more. There were an additional 107 new Pokémon available to catch as well as a post-game National Pokédex, which made Diamond and Pearl compatible with the Game Boy Advance games.

Get Out of My Nintendo Labo(ratory)!. Top Story - January 2018.
In an age of ever progressing virtual reality, the days of steering wheel and fishing rod video game controllers seemed to be a thing of a past (do you member? I 'member). That is until Nintendo announced the Nintendo Labo (projected to launch April 20, 2018) the first series of build-to-play interactive video game controllers.

'Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle' Review
I remember the first time I played through XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It was a solid game, but one that caused my stress level to increase tenfold. There never seemed to be a moment of reprieve, even while I was tinkering around in the underground headquarters. Was I making the right decisions? Would they come back to bite me on a future mission? It was a never-ending game of second-guessing myself, yet somehow still enjoyable.
