Silent dream gameplay review
Have you ever played a game that makes you feel tense while playing or more like anxious because every move you make impacts a certain ending. Especially a game that has multiple endings. Welcome to the game called silent dream about a Japanese detective searching a haunted forest for missing people. At first this game gave me suicide forest vibes based on the ambience of the game. Especially the spirits in the game who I think have there own stories once you get more into the games lore. Now in chapter 1 of the game you just go around the shrine and pick up things like marbles and keys to unlock hidden passageways and more. Now the marbles can be used as defense against certain spirits that you don't die. The only problem I had was that i just keep dying and forgetting to save. Look this game gets so intense where you just think try to find clues on the reason why tour there in the first place. Its not a basic click game either every choice you make will change your ending the good one or the bad one. The game starts off at the moment you enter the forest you them just scramble around clicking on things and following your main senses. Every click though you begin retrieving items that you would have missed otherwise. Then you will come across a chest and then your asked to investigate then to take the item once you accept your then welcomed to a new companion a small dog. The dog will begin to follow you around ,but you then get a feeling your not quite alone in these woods anymore another presence. You then see a young women in front of you and so you follow her deeper and deeper into the forest. Your surroundings begin to change and you enter a sense of a trance where you see an old shrine in front of you. You either enter the shrine or you die. Once you enter the shrine you seem to be locked inside a tiny room along side your dog. At your surprise you have a talking dog and so your companion tells you everything you need to know about this shrine as well as its longtime residence. You learn more about the helpful spirit that shows itself as the dog and the brief history behind the shrine. So after a brief conversation you embark on your journey through the shrine and after every click you retrieve items especially keys that open chest and secret passage ways around the shrine. In one of the rooms you click on an old chest and take a marble which awakens the spirits the lost girl and the headless ghost with the suitcase. Try to avoid them at all cost or you will have to restart the game all over again. So make sure to use the closets to hide. The more marbles you can collect they will save you from being killed by certain spirits but not all you will need to collect more keys and open the chest that contain special artifacts to save you while you try to escape your nightmare. Their is another room you enter that will awaken the shaman women with the really weird snake body. She's helpful but only for a brief moment that is if she's not haunting you down to kill you. The more you keep moving the less likely you are to be caught by any of the spirits especially if they are locked in a room. I hope you enjoy

The Rhymes and Reels of Bards
After reading the new bard class for Shadowdark I was a little disappointed by the lack of magical ability. The Magic Dabbler ability states: “You can activate any spell scroll or wand using Charisma as your spellcasting stat.” This is a good start, it’s flavourful and not overpowered, and Bards are not spell-casters per se, but it is just not enough thematically. The hypnosis ability of the Bard in Shadowdark feels vague and not especially exciting to me. The original rationale for a bard was that they lived in a proto-literate society that needed poetry for mnemonic purposes as songs and poems were used to remember lore and pass it down histories, genealogies, and myths from one generation to another, so I do not see them making much use of scrolls. Based on the myths and legends about bards, I really think bardic music needs to have some sort of magical component to it.
