My On-Off Relationship With Gaming
I don't remember what started it, but my earliest memory of anything game-related was wanting—and eventually getting—a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. I spent hours a night on that thing, permanently etching the noise of the tape-loading screech into my brain.

The Sims: My Journey
In 1991, a fire raged across Oakland, California, destroying many homes in its path, and one such home belonged to a computer game developer named Will Wright. While constructing and decorating his new house, Wright was inspired to make a dollhouse simulator where a group of simulated people, named Sims, would walk through and evaluate the players' build. Eventually, the Sims themselves became the focus of the game and the eponymous series would go on to become a multi-billion dollar franchise over the course of many generations. In particular, the series may have very well changed my own life as it is.

Breath of the Wild: Sequel of Sequels
It's been nearly four years since the gaming community was finally able to experience one of the most highly anticipated releases in game history. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild brought a breath of fresh air to the iconic franchise by giving players the freedom of open world exploration and abandoning the strictly linear experience that plagued the many entries that preceded it. It was a welcome change from the small contained world of Skyward Sword with an overworld profoundly larger than any other and the ability to go anywhere the player wished once the first area was completed.

Mandatory Online Gaming
Am I the only one who doesn't like online gaming? I shouldn't say I don't like it, but I certainly don't see the attraction of playing with people I don't know. Maybe that's just me. I would much rather play with my friends, and I don't mean having them at their house while I'm at mine. I want to be in the same room. I bet I'm in the minority, but I really miss split-screen gaming.

Simulations & My Dream Open-World Video Game
After Mr. Musk has brought it up a few times, whether on a podcast or within a tweet, the concept of us being in a simulation is quite the conversation starter. How, all this time, humanity has been trapped in such an advanced, believable virtual world manipulated by a greater power. Like how you would control your video game avatar in his/her virtual world.

LOOK INSIDE
The streets were quiet downtown during the week. Most businesses were closed due to this global pandemic. Unsettlement and uncertainty for many had gloomed over. Restlessness indoors overcame, yet the need to connect to something other than your own surroundings was prominent. With an overcast of clouds and silence outdoors, some would say a great day for a reflective walk. You never know what thoughts or sites you are going to connect with, or find in this case.
