RTX 5060

The GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti are Nvidia's most recent mid-range graphics cards, offering significant performance enhancements at competitive prices. The RTX 5060 is set to launch in May 2025 with a starting price of $299, while the RTX 5060 Ti is available from April 16, 2025, in two configurations: an 8GB version priced at $379 and a 16GB version at $429.

Specifications and Performance:

Both models are built on Nvidia's new Blackwell architecture and feature GDDR7 memory. The RTX 5060 Ti boasts 4,608 CUDA cores, a base clock of 2.4 GHz, and a boost clock of 2.57 GHz, with a 128-bit memory interface delivering 448 GB/s bandwidth. It has a total graphics power (TGP) of 180W. The standard RTX 5060 comes with 3,840 CUDA cores and an estimated TGP of 145W.

DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation is supported by both cards, allowing for up to 4x frame generation. Nvidia claims that the RTX 5060 Ti can achieve over 100 FPS at 1440p in games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Alan Wake 2, with latency reduced to as low as 81ms.

Market Position and Availability:

The RTX 5060 series is intended to take the place of popular models like the RTX 3060 and 4060 and offers enhanced performance for gaming at 1080p and 1440p, which is the entry-level resolution. Notably, Nvidia will not release Founders Edition versions of these cards; instead, they will be available exclusively through third-party manufacturers.

Nvidia's RTX 5060 series is a more affordable alternative to AMD's Radeon RX 9070 in the mid-range GPU market. However, market demand and potential tariffs may influence availability and pricing.

For gamers seeking a balance between performance and cost, the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti present compelling options in 2025's competitive GPU landscape.
