5 Horror Games with Hard Modes That Add to the Terror . Top Story - November 2017.
What exactly changes within a game when you increase the difficulty? The enemies have more health, the protagonist has less health and takes more damage, the boss fights take longer to complete. But some games take the concept even further, adding a new layer of fear to the gameplay and mechanics. So, without further ado, let's count down the 5 Horror Games with Hard Modes That Add to the Terror...

Horror Games: From Niche to Nonsense
Maybe I've become too desensitized over the years to enjoy modern "horror" games. Lately, I've just felt that such games have either fit into two categories: "cliche horror trope bingo" and/or "trying way too hard." I'd say a perfect example of the first of those categories is the recently released The Evil Within 2. I honestly don't know what is impressing the gaming news giants to give it a high score... though I think IGN would be impressed with a game about paint drying.

Why Fallout New Vegas Is STILL the Best Fallout Game to Date
Though Fallout 4 features an updated way to explore the wastelands nothing beats the story and wholesome content of the original series that compels even the newest Fallout fans to explore even further into the Mojave and beyond.

New Games Vs. Old Computers
Up until pretty recently, I was always on the bleeding edge of technology, barely keeping up and definitely not meeting the cutting edge. I'd buy a game that looked fun to play, turn down all the settings ingame, and realize I was still getting low frames that caused the game to be jerky and mostly unplayable. Eventually I got sick of this, and started messing around trying to figure out a way to make these games work. There had to be a way, right? Sometimes, no. Still, you should be able to play a lot of games that are just a few years old on a machine like that. Here's a few things to try, but keep in mind these are mostly tricks for Windows users, since Windows is the largest-supported gaming platform out right now:

The Top 5 Survival Horror Games
Survival horror is one of the genres the industry can’t shake. For me it conjures up a memory of watching an older cousin playing Resident Evil on the PC. I remember falling in love with the franchise right there and then, it was the beginning of me getting into all things horror in general—especially movies—but there was nothing that quite beat that thrill of playing as Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield, battling your way through the Spencer Mansion, and that very first encounter with a zombie.

How the 'Uncharted' Franchise Created an Action-Adventure Game Worth Playing
Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Uncharted series. At long last I finally found the game I have been searching for. I am a die hard fan of Indiana Jones and have been searching for a game that would both satisfy my need for historical adventure plus have engaging gameplay. The Uncharted Series satisfied both those needs as following Nathan Drake on his adventures to find treasure and uncover the truth to tales told by his mother, and gave me the games that had me up late playing through to find out what happens next.
