The Top 5 Survival Horror Games
Survival horror is one of the genres the industry can’t shake. For me it conjures up a memory of watching an older cousin playing Resident Evil on the PC. I remember falling in love with the franchise right there and then, it was the beginning of me getting into all things horror in general—especially movies—but there was nothing that quite beat that thrill of playing as Jill Valentine or Chris Redfield, battling your way through the Spencer Mansion, and that very first encounter with a zombie.

How the 'Uncharted' Franchise Created an Action-Adventure Game Worth Playing
Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Uncharted series. At long last I finally found the game I have been searching for. I am a die hard fan of Indiana Jones and have been searching for a game that would both satisfy my need for historical adventure plus have engaging gameplay. The Uncharted Series satisfied both those needs as following Nathan Drake on his adventures to find treasure and uncover the truth to tales told by his mother, and gave me the games that had me up late playing through to find out what happens next.

Remilia: It's My Boyfriend's World, I'm Just Living and Playing in It
I'll be the first to admit: I had never wanted to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons or anything like it. D&D had never been that interesting to me, and frankly, I didn't want to try and understand it. Nothing about sitting for hours on end, having to rely on certain rolls, ever struck a chord with me. I didn't understand the stats, didn't understand alignments, and didn't understand why a dice had to have 20 sides.

Benefits of Video Games
Our world today has changed so much over the years. I’m only twenty-seven years old and I see how today’s kids have so much more in the realm of technology then what I had. And even more then what individuals of Generation X and the Baby Boomers had. Technology is always changing and that’s a good thing, but it’s seen as a bad thing when it comes to children and video games.

'Silent Hill 4': The Forgotten Horror
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances where I give the maligned and forgotten another shot. As I mentioned before, I consider the original Silent Hill to be one of the greatest horror games of all time. Even though it's nearly twenty years old, its story still knows how to chill you to the bone, its perfect atmosphere keeps you from getting relaxed, and the combat and puzzle solving are both easier to grasp and more involved than in other horror games of the time. Though the PS1 visuals can be a bit hard to look at these days, it is still the closest I've found to the perfect horror game.

The Best Gaming Console
Some events in your life seem to seal your destiny for many years to come. One such event took place in my life during the 1980's when my father surprised my brother and myself by purchasing us the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). We had played it before at a relative's house, but that does not compare to owning one yourself and playing whenever you want to (or at least when Mom and Dad say it's ok). The fatherly gesture made that day would spark a love for gaming in me that, 30 years later, has yet to let go. Thinking about the time I've spent gaming over those years, I began wondering, what was the best time I had and with what console. For me, this was actually a tough choice between my number 1 and 2 spots, so, because the choice was so close, we'll begin with the runner-up.

Benefits of Computer Games
Computer games, console games, and internet-hosted games can all have benefits for their users — a statement some might not believe, but let me explain for the doubters. Firstly, I am a middle-aged man who has only recently had access to his first decent console for games playing and only played Facebook-hosted games on the computer. I have, in my time, played numerous arcade-based games, so I know the genesis of many of the more popular console games. Some have been recreated from arcade-based systems or have been developed from similar games.

Best Racing Games of 2017
Aside from other video games such as fighting and shooting, racing games are pretty much up there on best types of video games. It's true — it's so much more different than any other because you're actually not killing someone! The thrill of driving a race car and managing to get first place while you're neck and neck with your opponents can really make anyone sit at the edge of the couch in nervousness and excitement. It actually gets your blood flowing.

Best Super Mario Bros. Games Ever Created. Top Story - October 2017.
It's not a stretch to say the Italian plumber, Super Mario, has influenced almost every adventure-style game that came after it. These massive video game worlds of today wouldn't exist without the iconic game's incredible influence — which dates back almost 40 years at this point.

'Giants War' Beta Review
I will begin this review making it clear that this is not a sponsored review. With that out of the way, I can not recommend Giants War enough. Although its tutorial is slow and exceedingly long (as are many mobile gaming tutorials), it quickly makes up for it with its fast past battles, beautiful graphics, as well as the replacement of the dreaded Energy based system, and instead choosing to use the in-game currency to not only buy/sell/upgrade items, but also preform the same function as energy in many of the Gamevil games we already love.
