10 Board Games That Aren’t Boring. Top Story - March 2018.
Ethnos This game is a mix between Lord of the Rings and Risk, but I do not like Risk and I love this game. With certain cards, you put a token on a city and gain points each round from how many tokens you put on that certain city or other cities. If you play with more than two people, you get three rounds. Depending on the types of cards you choose, you can steal others, play twice, place tokens wherever you want, etc. This game is very entertaining and strategic.

'Catherine' Review
I haven’t played a game with a story that genuinely made me feel on the same emotional level as its main protagonist in a very long time, if ever. The mature Catherine, from Atlus’ renowned Persona team, had gripped me much more than I had expected it to. When I tell you everything about this game, you have to trust me when I say that as far-out and crazy as all of its ideas, every aspect of it fits together very well to make a cohesive and unique package that puzzle game fans and possibly RPG fans will find massively entertaining, at least their first time through.

'The Granstream Saga'
Every once in a while, I’ll talk about a hidden gem; I’ll discuss a game I was fortunate enough to discover as a kid, but sometimes, there are gems among gems. The Granstream Saga is definitely in that category, but this is not a game I played as a kid. Though the game was released for Play Station in North America way back in 1998, which means I was 15-years-old, I did not discover this game until late 2016.

'Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4' Review
As someone who hasn’t played more than a few handfuls of seriously lengthy console RPGs, I always found the beast that is the Shin Megami Tensei metaseries to be something of a daunting enigma that I had no desire to get sucked into. After many years of curiosity, though, and around the long-awaited release of Persona 5, I finally sat down to enjoy my unplayed copy of the much-revered PS2 role-playing game, Persona 4. In recent years, the Persona subseries has distanced itself from its parent quite a bit, earning name recognition without the SMT moniker, and that was most prevalent when Persona 4 released in 2008. In a lot of ways, P4 was the Final Fantasy VII of its series, and it (as well as its various spinoffs) has become a long-running moneymaker for Atlus. I have yet to play any other Persona games, but I can say for certain that it is in my future as of now.

Why Play a Game You Can't Win?
People look at me funny when I say that my favorite game is one I've never beaten. I've played this game for four years now. From beta stages to all of the expansions, the victory has been ever elusive. Although I've played this game with the help of cheats, walkthroughs, and real-life friends, I've lost to this frustrating, maddening game every. single. time. It has taught me that sometimes, life sucks. We can't always get a gold star, but we might as well have fun losing.

Top 10 Hardest Overwatch Trophies
(I've written an updated version of this list which reflects my current thoughts more accurately so check that out). Overwatch is a fantastic multiplayer shooter that I would recommend even the most casual of gamers to try out. It's easy to learn but hard to master and this is reflected in its (currently) 70 trophies/achievements that are spread out over 26 heroes. For the sake of simplicity and the fact that I'm a PS4 player, I'm going to refer to them as trophies from now on.

Why 'Assassin's Creed' and 'Watch_Dogs' Should Collaborate and Create a Crossover Game
Unless you have just started playing video games within the last six months, chances are you have heard of Ubisoft's signature title, Assassin's Creed. It is a game about two secret organizations, known as the antagonistic Templars, those who believe that control, manipulation and fear is true freedom among the people, and the Assassins, whose sole belief is the free will of man and fight for absolute freedom. These two sides have been fighting since the days of Ancient Egypt in 49 BC, and according to the game's canon, are still fighting to this very day. Nowadays, though, it's more of one huge spy mission. Each side is trying to gain more intelligence with each day's passing about each other, and the fabled "Pieces of Eden," which are a series of artifacts leftover from the First Civilization. They gain this information by means of infiltration, exploration, and even using a device called the "Animus," to search through their ancestors genetic memories so they can learn from first-hand experiences what really happened in history. This proved helpful especially in Assassin's Creed III when modern day protagonists, Desmond Miles, William Miles, Rebecca Crane and Shaun Hastings were searching for the key to a First Civilization vault.

Shockwork Games Focuses on Strategy for Horror Title, 'Alder's Blood'
Nature can be a beautiful thing, but it can also be molded into whatever we want it to be, even if that means twisting it into disturbing imagery. The towering emerald canopies of a forest can be both magnificent and nightmarish. Do the shadows they cast hide terrors or cause unease to those they fall on? Is there a danger hidden within them, something rooted in the rotten core of Mother Nature? We can explore our surrounding environs in a myriad of ways, but it’s through horror that the team behind Alder’s Blood aimed to view the natural world.
