'Ghostbusters' World
There have been a lot of games based on Ghostbusters over the years, both the movies and the cartoon spin-offs, and in the last 10 years or so there's been a particular surge in computerized ectoplasmic activity. Some have been well received, such as the multi-platform GhostbustersThe Video Game, a truly great game released in 2009 that basically acts as Ghostbusters III. Others haven't been so popular, such as the wonky 2011 sequel Sanctum of Slime and the enjoyable but limited 2013 Ghostbusters mobile game from Beeline. Games based on the 2016 movie have been especially poorly received, with FireForge Games' Ghostbusters being so bad that it bankrupted the company. Ghostbusters World isn't even the first Augmented Reality game, following the 2012 experiment with Ghostbusters: Paranormal Blast.

'Fallout 76': More Bad than Good (a Review)
You know how much I love waiting for games to download and install? Almost as much as I love waiting for day-one patches. I swear to Beelzebub, if Fallout 76 requires an immediate update after so much bullshit Beta nonsense, I am taking a bus straight to Bethesda Studios and shitting in their mailbox.

Top 10 Undertale AU's
There’s no question that Toby Fox’s game, Undertale, has been a success since its release. Forgotten Quests: The Original Xbox
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings where I dive into the maligned and forgotten and see what I can dig up. On 15 November 2001, Microsoft released the original Xbox. It was a gamble to be sure. The prior time an American console was released (the Atari Jaguar) was a massive failure. However, Microsoft had the strongest machine ever designed at the time, bold plans for an online infrastructure, and a big green guy named Master Chief to get people interested. While the sixth console generation ended with the Playstation 2 as the de facto champion, the Xbox's strong second place finish encouraged Microsoft to stay in the console market.

Let's Talk: 'Pokémon Gold' or 'Silver'
Pokémon Pokémon is something that most of us have heard of at some point. For the benefit of those who haven't heard of it, it's short for "Pocket Monsters." The premise is to catch a creature in a ball that you can put in your pocket and train it to your heart's desire.

5 Tips for Playing Better Elves
Elves are often thought of as the banner-bearers for high fantasy as a genre. With their inhuman lifespan, strange ways, and occasionally alien thoughts, they can be difficult to portray in new, interesting ways. If you've had trouble stepping outside Tolkien's box with your elves, then here are some tips you should think about.

My Top Five Legend of Zelda Dungeons
November 2011 was a monumental moment for Nintendo as they released The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on the franchise’s 25-year anniversary. The Legend of Zelda is one of the most popular gaming franchises in the world, and it is one of Nintendo’s hallmarks; every game in the series has achieved commercial and critical success, and Skyward Sword was special because it was touted to be a major departure from every game that came before it with the introduction of motion controls for Link’s sword movements. For the occasion, YouTuber Austin Hargrave (AKA Peanut Butter Gamer), started a series of videos where he talked about various things in the Zelda franchise for the entirety of November, dubbing the series "Zelda Month." He has since continued the tradition, and several other YouTubers, among people across the internet, have taken up the initiative of making Zelda-themed videos every November.

On Family, Relationships, & Romance
Note: This refers strictly to the first BioShock game. Contains Spoilers for BioShock & Horizon: Zero Dawn. Consider other games you’ve played. Think of the character’s motivations. It (sometimes) always boils down to some sort of relationship. Here are a few different examples:

'Shadow of the Tomb Raider'
After a three year gap, the latest Tomb Raider reboot continued this year with its third and final installment, marking the end of Lara Croft's origin story. While it gave Lara the happy ending she truly deserved, the game itself left a little to be desired.
