How to Build Hawkeye in 'The Pathfinder RPG'
Hawkeye, alias Clint Barton, is easy to miss given the company he keeps. After all, when Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, and even the Black Widow are all on screen, there's a lot of eyes on them. That's fine though; despite the flimsy look of his weapons, Hawkeye is one of the most dangerous Avengers on the team. Players who want a smart tactician, an unbeatable archer, and someone who can handle himself in nearly any situation may find that taking a page out of Barton's book might just be the way to go for their next Pathfinder character.

Genesis Does What Nintendon't: Sega Genesis at 30
30 years ago today, a 16-bit home video game console was introduced to the masses. That gaming system was the Sega Genesis and it released over 900 games. To date, it had sold almost 31 million units and its best selling game was Sonic the Hedgehog, which sold 15 million units. I'll be sharing some of my favorite Sega Genesis games that I loved playing as a kid, in no particular order. In about a month, the Sega Genesis Mini is set to be released and will include 42 pre-installed games. It will go on sale for $79.99 and if you would like to see the full list of games, you can click the link down below. I've written an article about it two months ago, so be sure to check it out. In the mean time, I hope you enjoy my list of Sega Genesis games.

The 10 Most Underrated Video Games of All Time
The more game’s design corresponds to our expectations the more willingly and often we play it. Being guided by this idea, designers, developers, and game producers use sales volumes as a primary criterion to rate the best video games. Does it mean that “underrating” games are of worse quality, less thrilling or less loved by gamers? Certainly not, quite on the contrary! Often, plenty of so-called “underrated” games are even better than the top-rated ones in many aspects.

'Blair Witch' to Continue Reign of Terror in Chilling New Video Game
The original found-footage masterpiece was something that I thought was real—that is, up until I discovered it was all just a successful marketing campaign. That was one of the first film’s to go viral before the social media craze had taken over. And while the first movie still ranks high on my favorites list, its sequels do not. The Book of Shadows film is easily forgettable, and the 2016 reboot took me a few sittings to get through. One would think this franchise has everything to would need to become a horror powerhouse spawning out sequel after sequel, like the Paranormal Activity films. I mean you've got the creepy woods, unsettling folklore, occultist themes, terrifying demon-witch lady, and still, it hasn't seemed to ever duplicate the success the original had unexpectedly received. But it seems the evil presence out in the Black Hills Forest will get another chance to terrify audiences but this time it's all going down on the console. The next chapter in the dreaded Blair Witch saga will be in the form of a video game launching at the end of August.

The Case for Banning Loot Boxes
Senator Josh Hawley is a bit of a rarity on Capitol Hill these days, by which I mean that he’s caused a controversy by trying to pass an actual piece of legislation instead of saying something dumb on Twitter. Well, this controversy is about a bill, at any rate. Back in May, the Freshman Republican from Missouri proposed a bill banning “pay-to-win” monetization in video games that were marketed to children. The bill (which is co-sponsored by Senators Ed Markey of Massachusetts and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, both Democrats) specifically targets pay-to-win microtransactions and loot boxes on the basis that both are designed to create an “addiction economy” that preys on younger players. Microtransactions and loot boxes are two of the biggest sources of revenue for the video game industry, so the bill has predictably generated a constant stream of opposition from that quarter ever since.

Have a Blast Without More Cash!
Hello, and welcome back to Silver Linings. This console generation has had plenty of problems that go way beyond a lack of great current sports games. One of the biggest problems this generation is the overmonetization of games. These days, the big publishers seem like they can't just make and release a game anymore, not without including too much DLC which ends up costing more than the base game, micro-transactions that belong in free-to-play games, and loot boxes that actively prey on gambling addicts (as revealed in this expose by Jim Sterling). First- and third-person shooters are a couple of genres that suffered greatly due to this.

How to Build Black Widow in 'The Pathfinder RPG'
The Avengers represents a perfectly mixed team. There's ranged combat and brute muscle, super-science and sorcery, all of them working together toward a common end. There's also subtlety, and for those who forgot about her, it's likely the Black Widow is about to stab you in the back. No team should ever go into the field without a stealth and infiltration expert. For those looking to bring Natasha to their tables, this guide should get you started!

'Path of Exile'
I found that the Path of Exile was a stimulating and engrossing game. It’s a free-to-play game, which practically speaking, is a splendid way to enter into any game. If you wish, you may buy the game's “currency” from the game application, which will allow you to build up your character. It’s possible to buy weapons and armor from outside vendors, at moderate cost, to increase your capacity for destruction, while remaining safer in specialty armor. All the way up to ridiculous prices for specialty weapons and armors that will provide marginal increases in performance. In or out of game, cosmetic facades are available which only affect the appearance of the characters, but have the panache of Champions. In some instances, of prices over $500 for a single expenditure?! You would be surprised at how many of those are sold.
