Old Vs New
Going back into my memory as far as I can, the first game to truly engross me in its characters and story was Pokémon. The exact moment I played it for the first time is still as clear in my head as it was when it had only just happened. On the way to school one day, my brother was on his DS and I was sitting next to him. Curious as to what it was he was playing, he passed the console over to me and I got to have a turn as his character in what I soon learnt was Pokémon Ruby. I’ve been hooked ever since.

Is chess a game of probability?
My interest in the game has led me to become a first-level chess player and to an in-depth analysis of mathematical data on the key factors that determine the outcome of a game. My interest in chess is that the game is a strategy played by people of all ages, genders, religions, nationalities, presentations, family ties, multiculturalism and global identity.

The Nostalgia Cabinet
Was that a Galaga cabinet? I did an earnest double take as I crossed in front of the pizza place. It was my usual joint, one I patronized at least once a week and passed by so frequently that it blurred neatly into its surroundings. Any other day, I'd only have acknowledged it as a minor landmark on my walk home, barely perceived over the pages of my latest library acquisition.

Impact of Video Games on Learning - Swiflearn
They were incorporating the concept of video games for kids is no different, either. And adding the same in their academics does not mean more screen time. Most schools are on par with the concept of children’s video games. You might know, but it is true. The gaming industry is one such sector minting billions each year. And the concept is all for a good reason. Good TV video games for kids convert extrinsic rewards into intrinsic motivating factors.

The Great Paul Charles Morphy
In the 1850s Morphy played many unusual games against Johann Lowenthal in Hungary. This in October 1858 and April 1859 became number two in the world according to Chessmetrics and in 1850 became one of the world's leading athletes. These impressive performances have led German chess coach and chess historian Gisbert Jacoby to believe that Paul Murphy is one of America's leading players and one of the best in the world.

Humankind
I didn’t expect Endless Legend to be a written story, especially historical, but personality doesn’t produce anything new. It’s the story of a mysterious TV show that spans a few seasons before bedtime, creating a wave of drama and excitement that makes some stories memorable but given Endless Legends the power to tell solid, structured stories, this is a small surprise. Mistakes here and there, or a few frustrating mistakes, can be embarrassing, but given the context, humanity will never knock a Titan like this into the game.

L.A. Noire: A Game With Unmet Potential
When they announced L.A. Noire, it seemed like a sure-shot success. The game followed Cole through his journey as a cop in Los Angeles. Cole proves himself to be an excellent investigator as he solves multiple cases with ease. The missions are fairly well-written, and the game benefits from the technology that was used to capture facial expressions. As a detective, players need to follow those facial expressions to find clues.

Ten Green Cards That Would Rock in Commander
Hello again! These past few weeks I went over a bunch of cards that I like to use in commander in a number of colors: Red, Black, Blue, White, and Artifact (Click the color word for links to previous articles) By this point you should be well-acquainted with my focus and intent, but in case you aren’t…(skip to the meaty bits if you must)
