Humankind Review
This year has been quite interesting for historical 4X strategy games, with plenty of new titles popping up to carve out their own place in the subgenre. Mohawk Games' Old World released with moderate success and now Amplitude Studios is taking its turn with Humankind. Are Humankind's offerings up to the task? Will they usher in a new age of strategy games based on historical strategies?

King's Bounty 2 Review
There have been a lot of returns and revivals for well-known franchises like Age of Empires, Knights of Honor and King's Bounty this year, although there have been a few minor spin-offs in the franchise over the past couple of decades. The increasing interest in strategy gaming is making it a great time to bring back old and new IPs. But can King's Bounty 2 revive this classic series and revitalize its legacy?

The Big Con Review
It's the 90s. Your dad is selling dodgy DVDs and Saved By The Bell is on the TV. Although my view of the 90s may not be the same as everyone else's, there is a common thread between mine and The Big Con's. There were many positive and inspiring things about the 1990s. But there was also some seediness. The Big Con captures both sides beautifully, and creates a wonderful road trip story.

Western Mountain
Western Mountain Long ago, in the glory days of Mesoamerica, in the midst of the Aztec Civilization there is a man-deity named Quetzalcoatl. His temple was called the Temple of the Sovereign Plumed Serpent. He commanded men, women, priests and armies. He had envisioned the art, which the artisans would carve into the rocks, and it was he who commissioned the artistic work upon the gourd-mould vases…it was that which The Mother Mountain commanded of him. That is what the priests told him since he himself was glorified and then immortalized in rock and lore…told to return.

Newest New Beginning
Newest New Beginning In the beginning, there was the Interface. An internal, spiritual computer of the higher dimensions, and this guided Asterick along his maturation process. It calculated his successes and his flaws, his goals and his dreams and brought to him brilliance beyond his years, as it did for many people who sought the wisdom of the stars.

Facility Expansions
Facility Expansions With most of the area at the university taken up by buildings and parking lots, there was two options, up on existing structures, or down into the ground. With the mining industry prevalent in Saskatchewan, machinery and technology was readily available for projects. April 2015 saw the groundbreaking in the main courtyard of the University of Regina. Five drills would dig into the ground, four excavators would remove the material and a main conveyor belt system would move the dirt and rock to the vacated Ad Hum parking lot where a fifth excavator would load the material mixture onto trucks and hauled to an empty lot on the other side of the Ring Road.

The Imaginary Friend
The Imaginary Friend Justin was troubled by the emails, first one, now numbering in the dozens. He wasn’t sure how to approach this; was it a fan in a circumstantial crisis, or a fanatic trying to get between him and his wonderful, beautiful and gorgeous fiancé?

The Argument
The Argument Having arrived back from China only hours before, Asterick was already uploading the pictures and sketches from the elaborate room he had stayed in. The main room itself was rug, a deep blue and was like walking on velvet from memory. The bathroom was amazing and was where he had spent a majority of his time; this was because the bathroom had an amazing sauna/ bathtub in fountain design.

Ten Great Gold Cards Often Overlooked in Commander
So, this is the penultimate article in this series. I went over every color so far as well as artifacts (Artifacts, White, Blue, Black, Red, Green). This week I am going for the gold! With the Olympics just ending too, I could probably have timed it a little better, but - oh well. This was a tough one to find a lot of cards for this list, as most folks already know about anything of value in the multicolored department! This is evidenced by the real gems being relatively high-priced, like Reparations and Wellspring. Not to mention Phyrexian Purge (which is most awesome in my demon deck - "Oh, my Living End put your dudes back on the table? NOT ON MY WATCH!").
