How to Farm Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium Fast

Strategies and methods to get Flame Elementium

By Emmay thomsonPublished 6 months ago 3 min read

If you're just getting your build started in Torchlight: Infinite and need some quick Torchlight: Infinite Flame Elementium, farming in Time Mark 7 is one of the best ways to do it. In this guide, we'll cover two simple strategies that are great for farming currency early in the season. Both methods can be used in Time Mark 8 with minor adjustments later.

Strategy 1: Eterna Boss Rush

This strategy focuses on loading your maps with boss-type enemies, which can drop valuable items like embers, reverberations, and other crafting materials. It's fast, efficient, and doesn't require fancy gear to start.

After you've killed the Time Mark 7 Traveler, you unlock two important nodes that give you a 25% chance to spawn four boss mobs in your map without needing compasses. From there, the Eterna tree should be set up to guarantee Eterna spawns and increase the number of eternal mobs you fight.

You should also invest in the “God of War” tree to move faster through maps and boost your farming speed. In the Commodities tree, take the ember-related nodes to increase your profit. If you haven't unlocked the T7 Traveler yet, it's better to take star shard nodes to speed up progression instead.

For maps, go for ones that are simple and linear. “Wall of Sorrows” in the Thunder Waste zone is a good option because it lets you hit every part of the map without missing any boss mobs. You can also try “Deniman Village” in the Glacial Abyss zone. Avoid complicated maps and skip the league mechanic (tower sequences) unless you get a bounty, as it usually isn't worth your time.

The mobs you're looking for will have green dots over them. These are eternal mobs, and some can spawn as bosses (like the Blade of Eterna). Sometimes you'll even get two bosses in one map.

Loot you'll commonly get includes:

  • Precious and Matchless Embers
  • Reverberations
  • Pages of Eterna
  • Solidified Tears
  • Boss candles

These items can be sold to other players for Flame Elementium, with prices depending on the time of day and demand.

When you move into Time Mark 8, you can enhance this strategy by adding nodes like Gigantism for extra boss drops or snowpaper nodes for more rewards from bosses. Just avoid nodes that upgrade reverberations — they reduce their value since upgraded versions are cheaper.

Strategy 2: Pirates and Star Shards

This second strategy is even simpler. You just run your maps quickly using the God of War buff, head to the end of the map, and do the pirate event. The goal is to collect star shards and fight T7 Watchers.

Your passive tree should focus on:

  • Guaranteeing pirate spawns
  • Increasing your chances of getting boss invitations from pirate events
  • Buffing star shard drops in the commodities tree
  • Using God of War for speed

When you complete a pirate event, always look for the “Whisper of Bosses” option first. If that's not available, pick “Whisper of Wealth” instead. Sometimes the pirate event will auto-complete if it spawns a boss mod, letting you skip straight to rewards.

Farming Watchers at difficulty 7-2 is highly recommended. Each kill gives you:

  • Two guaranteed Time Mark 8 beacons (worth 3–5 Flame Elementium each)
  • A Realm Lord token
  • A chance at precise gems and Flame Elementium

You'll also get memory scraps and items from pirates, such as:

  • Memory Scraps (can be sold in bulk)
  • Epic Memory Threads
  • Boss Invitations (worth 15–18 FE each)
  • Occasional bureau memories

If you want to keep using this strategy in T8, you can improve it by grabbing chest nodes for more loot and adding Sandlord spawns to your maps. You can even combine this strategy with the Eterna farming one to earn even more from embers and boss drops.

Final Tips

  • Always farm in Time Mark 7-0 for speed. Don't go to 71 or 72 unless you're doing Watcher fights.
  • Only do league mechanics if a bounty appears.
  • Save your Watcher fights for difficulty 7-2, where the loot is better and guaranteed.
  • You can sell your loot for Flame Elementium on the trade house or Discord communities.

Both of these methods are great for getting the Flame Elementium you need early in the season. Once your character is stronger, you can expand the strategy and keep making a profit into Time Mark 8 and beyond.

Good luck, and happy farming!
