Taking down Fractis in Borderlands 4 is a real test of skill. This fight will punish you if you play carelessly. You need good timing, smart weapon swaps, and clean movement. Just spraying bullets everywhere will waste your ammo and get you killed. You should learn the basic mechanics and safe distances first. Then, practice the fight pattern until you can do it without thinking. The faster you switch guns and the better you move, the less time you will spend fighting Borderlands 4 Cash.

Phase 1 – Understanding the Basics

Fractis starts the fight with a blue shield bar. After you break the shield, a standard red health bar appears. You need to bring two main weapon types: a strong Shock weapon for the shield and a good Damaging weapon for the health. Shock damage is great for breaking shields quickly. Damaging weapons are strong against health and can cause damage-over-time effects. You should plan your two weapon loadouts before starting the fight. Practice switching between them until it feels natural.

First Target: The Blue Shield – Use Shock

You must equip your best Shock gun at the start. Keep firing until the blue shield breaks. You want to land consistent hits. Do not waste ammo by using weapons that are not Shock, as they will do very little damage to the shield. Constant Shock damage will remove the shield much faster. If your character has a skill that helps with ammo or switching weapons, you should set it to a quick key. This makes sure you never mess up the switch when the shield goes down.

Second Target: The Red Health Bar – Use Damaging

As soon as the shield drops, you need to switch to your Damaging weapon and start shooting. Damaging weapons apply strong burn effects to health. You should focus on sustained fire to keep these damage-over-time effects active. Do not just fire single shots. While you are damaging the boss, you need to pay attention to its attacks. Stay behind cover when Fractis prepares for a big attack. Remember, never use a Shock weapon on the red health bar. It is a waste of time. Also, never use your Damaging weapon on the shield, as it will not work well.

Movement is Key to Survival

Fractis has two main types of attacks that are easy to see coming: slow-moving projectiles and wide melee swings. You need to watch the boss and dodge early. For the projectiles, you can slide or use low cover to avoid them, then return to shooting. For the melee attacks, you should step back and wait for the swing to finish before moving in again. Always keep a movement skill ready. If smaller enemies start to appear, do not focus only on them. Staying mobile lets you deal damage while staying alive.

Phase 2 – The Boss and the Adds

After you remove the first health bar, Fractis will shrink and call for help. Smaller enemies, or "adds," will spawn. These adds are meant to distract you from the main boss. You need to kill them quickly, but you should not waste your best ammo on them. Use area-of-effect weapons or fast skills to clear them out. Your main focus should still be the smaller version of Fractis. Deal with the adds only when the boss gives you an opening. Beating Fractis often gives you a good amount of buy Borderlands 4 Cash, so a clean and fast run is worth it.

The strategy for this fight is simple. Use Shock for shields, switch to Damaging for health, and keep moving to avoid attacks. You must practice the weapon swap until it is a reflex. Manage your ammo carefully for each phase. Use the short windows of time after the boss attacks to deal your damage and avoid the big hits.
