Home Improvement is so much fun in House Flipper.
Let's break down walls!
House Flipper is exactly as it sounds - you do home renovations and there are different expansion packs that come with it. But first let's talk about the base game. You start off as an aspiring home improvement manager and it is your job to go into different homes and do different jobs that people have when it comes to painting and patchwork and even replacing furniture such as radiators.
You get money from those jobs and eventually it does get to a point where you run out of jobs to do for people and you're able to flip dilapidated homes, run down homes, and do other forms of improvement to sell to the highest bidder.
Now, let's get into the different expansion packs because those are where this game really shines. I will start with my favorite which is House Flipper Pets and I knew going into this DLC that you would be able to take care of animals. But what I didn't expect was something that was super cute; I went into a home started cleaning it up and there were paw prints that led up the stairs into a big box. And in that box was an adorable rottweiler puppy named Rex and I fell in love with this fictional make-believe dog and it came with a little paper hat. I did not realize that you could take this pet with you to different jobs and you could also feed it, give it treats, it does certain commands, and it's just totally lovable. They have hamsters and cats and I believe parrots, but it's just a great expansion pack that you can fall in love with and reminds me of pets in The Sims and it totally touched my heart.
Next is Luxury Flipper and this is where you definitely feel like you're royalty if you can afford the different items that come with it. You can restore antiques to luxury furniture items and adding in swimming pools and just very fancy designs.
I haven't played too much of Cyberpunk Flipper but what I have played very much makes you feel like that you are in a Shadowrun game. You have different technology that you can implement, you could have a very fancy game room for yourself, or for your client.
HGTV House Flipper brings that really cinematic style of breaking down walls and painting them and bringing them back up to where you have a lot to work with. That also brings it into Apocalypse Flipper where you can build doomsday bunkers and it was reminiscent of steampunk or dieselpunk.
Lastly, for the expansion pack that I have is Garden Flipper and that game you can finally mow your lawn and that the more you mow your lawn the more you level up so you can just do that for a good while to get better perks. You have a lawn mower, you have weed eater, or edger, and you can also get rid of moles in the yard. Plant flowers, plant fruit trees, and really just do all kind of landscaping that you've ever dreamed of.
The house flipper games are very much cozy games where you want a little bit more action. They have a certain stress to them where you sometimes have the same buyers for the same style of houses. Or if you want to get certain achievements, you have to break out of your personal style in order to be able to cater to different families and different people. But there's so much detail within these games. Now, they do have more expansion packs like Party Furniture, Dine Out, Pop Art, and House Flipper Farm which you can tend to animals and crops; I am looking forward to doing as that reminds me of the Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons games.
As of myself writing this in June of 2025, there are 10 expansion packs all of which that I just mentioned and there's even House Flipper 2 which I haven't come across yet. But if it's anything like the first House Flipper then I think it's going to be very fun to play and I will update you guys when it gets to the point where I don't have anymore to play with the original House Flipper. As for now, I still have four expansion packs to explore!
