Every year, football fans across the world await the release of the next FIFA title.

FIFA offers many game modes such as 'Kick-Off', 'Career' and more but its most popular game mode has to be 'Ultimate Team.'

Ultimate Team (FUT) allows players to play with all their favourite players after acquiring their item in-game. They can get the players by opening virtual packs or purchasing the players through a transfer market using coins—FUT's in-game currency.

After getting their players, they can take them into a variety of game modes within FUT which lets players compete in whichever way they prefer.

Players are able to play both online and offline and can earn great rewards through both.

With every year of FUT, a new game mode or feature creates great fun for it's 42 million+ players. This year, the introduction of 'Division Rivals' has brought a brand new way to compete for rewards.

Description of the new mode.

This new mode brings a weekly competition where players compete against someone of a somewhat similar skill level as them. This is based upon five placement games at the very beginning of the competition.

Depending on your form in those five matches, you'll be placed in a division that matches your skill. From there, it's all based on 'Skill Rating', which is calculated after each game based on your performance.

If you play well, your skill rating improves whilst the opposite happens if you lose. The higher your skill rating, the higher division you're placed in.

Each division has a unique set of rewards and also lets players choose their rewards. Something we haven't seen in FUT before. This has been highly requested over the years and EA seemed to have listened.

Moreover, the popular game mode 'FUT Champions' has remained in the game for a 3rd year and is still heavily linked with the eSports side of FIFA.

The only notable changes in FUT Champions is that the amount of games needed has been reduced from 40 to 30. Also, the main way to qualify is through the new mode, Division Rivals.

This has received great feedback from players after the first weekend league took place over the past couple of days.

The single-player/offline side of FUT has remained very similar to FIFA 18 with Squad Building Challenges and Squad Battles being the main attractions here.

To conclude, FUT has made a large step with new and interesting game modes and the amount of content is amazing. After only playing for a few weeks, I can sense a great year for FUT.
