Diablo Immortal Tier List

In Diablo Immortal, the class you choose can significantly shape your gameplay experience. Each class excels in different aspects—some are ideal for farming and PvE progression, while others dominate PvP Battlegrounds. With the recent additions of Blood Knight and Tempest, the meta has shifted once again. This in-depth tier list evaluates all eight classes to help you decide which ones stand at the top for both PvE and PvP content.

What This Tier List Evaluates

Rather than focusing purely on numbers, this tier list balances multiple factors:

  • Solo and group PvE performance
  • PvP effectiveness in Battlegrounds and duels
  • Utility, crowd control, mobility, and survivability
  • Gear scaling and late-game performance
  • Ease of play and learning curve

Keep in mind that tier lists are fluid—patch updates, legendary effects, and balance tweaks can always shift the rankings. That said, here’s how each class stacks up as of the current patch.

PvE Tier List

S-Tier: Demon Hunter, Necromancer, Tempest

Demon Hunter

Still a powerhouse for PvE, the Demon Hunter specializes in high single-target DPS, ideal for boss fights and fast Elder Rift clears. Its ability to deal damage on the move keeps it highly effective in solo content. Fragile, yes, but with smart positioning and cooldown management, you can breeze through even high-tier content.

Necromancer

Necromancers are masters of crowd control and AoE burst. With summons that absorb damage and spells like Corpse Explosion, they shine in wave-clearing scenarios. They also scale exceptionally well into endgame, making them one of the most consistent performers in both solo and team content.

Tempest

The newest agility-based class, Tempest, instantly proved its worth in PvE. Specializing in swift aerial attacks, lightning magic, and hit-and-run tactics, it excels at kiting and bursting down enemies. Its high mobility allows you to avoid damage and reposition frequently—an essential trait in higher rift levels.

A-Tier: Crusader, Blood Knight, Barbarian

Crusader

Crusaders are still among the best support tanks. Their banner skill boosts group DPS significantly, making them highly desirable in raids. Their crowd control and high survivability allow them to lead the charge. Solo PvE, however, is where they feel slower due to clunky movement and lower burst damage.

Blood Knight

A hybrid of tank and sustain-DPS, the Blood Knight brings a unique flavor to the meta. In PvE, it's dependable—especially in sustained fights where healing and lifesteal shine. The Blood Knight doesn’t rely on bursts; instead, it drains enemies over time, turning long boss fights into survivable battles. Not the fastest clearer, but incredibly stable.

Barbarian

Barbarians are aggressive AoE grinders. Their mobility makes them solid for Elder Rifts, and Whirlwind-style attacks can wipe mobs quickly. However, they're cooldown-dependent and struggle with sustained single-target damage, which keeps them just shy of S-tier.

B-Tier: Wizard, Monk

Wizard

The Wizard dishes out massive elemental damage but lacks mobility and survivability. Their potential to clear groups is strong, yet they suffer from cooldown reliance and positional fragility. Great in well-coordinated PvE groups, but risky when soloing.

Monk

In PvE, the Monk is overshadowed. Despite their quick movement and defensive abilities, their overall damage output is lackluster. They shine more in support roles, but that niche doesn't always translate to efficient farming or solo content.

PvP Tier List

S-Tier: Barbarian, Necromancer, Blood Knight

Barbarian

In PvP, the Barbarian is an unstoppable juggernaut. Furious Charge and Ground Stomp give them chain CC potential, while their sheer tankiness makes them hard to eliminate. They dominate in melee brawls and team fights, creating space and disrupting backlines.

Necromancer

Necromancers thrive in PvP due to their zoning potential and battlefield manipulation. Bone Wall, Bone Spikes, and summons force opponents to react, slow down, and split. Few classes can control engagements like the Necromancer.

Blood Knight

The Blood Knight is a PvP menace. Its sustain, self-healing, and transformation mechanics make it extremely durable. With life-leech mechanics and crowd control built into its kit, it wins extended duels and frustrates burst-reliant enemies. It may not kill fast, but it rarely dies.

A-Tier: Tempest, Monk, Crusader

Tempest

Agile and evasive, Tempest players dart in, deliver heavy burst damage, then escape before retaliation. With strong ranged and melee abilities, this class forces opponents to guess. While not as tanky as others, a skilled Tempest can outplay nearly any class through movement and well-timed combos.

Monk

The Monk’s PvP strength lies in its crowd control and unpredictability. Imprisoned Fist and Flying Dragon let them lock down and punish targets quickly. They’re also difficult to track, weaving in and out of combat. In the right hands, Monks are clutch team fighters.

Crusader

A reliable frontline in PvP, the Crusader holds objectives and protects teammates with stuns and barriers. Their banner helps team damage, but their lack of mobility and long animation windows leave them exposed if caught alone.

B-Tier: Wizard, Demon Hunter

Wizard

In the hands of a master, a Wizard can still make a difference with Black Hole setups and Meteor combos. However, they’re extremely fragile and easy to burst down. PvP favors mobility and instant reactions—two areas where the Wizard still struggles.

Demon Hunter

Despite their PvE dominance, Demon Hunters suffer in PvP due to low defense and reliance on positioning. Once a melee class closes the gap, they usually don’t live long enough to recover. Good for sniping stragglers, but easily countered in 1v1s or chaotic fights.

Best Class for Each Playstyle

  • Best Solo PvE: Demon Hunter, Necromancer
  • Best Group PvE: Crusader, Necromancer, Blood Knight
  • Best PvP Duels: Blood Knight, Monk
  • Best PvP Battlegrounds: Barbarian, Necromancer
  • Best Mobility Playstyle: Tempest, Monk
  • Most Beginner Friendly: Blood Knight, Crusader
  • Highest Skill Ceiling: Tempest, Wizard

Diablo Immortal now offers a rich class roster, and with the arrival of Blood Knight and Tempest, the competitive landscape has been shaken up. The best class for you will depend on your goals—clearing PvE content fast, dominating PvP fights, or supporting your team in raids.

No class is unplayable, but some clearly stand above others in terms of flexibility and power. If you're after consistent results across all content, Necromancer and Barbarian offer balanced performance. If you want to specialize in high-speed clears or high-risk burst potential, Demon Hunter and Tempest provide excitement.

Whatever your choice, knowing where each class stands in today’s meta gives you a real advantage—whether you’re farming, climbing, or fighting.
