Tango Smash Gaming has appointed a new Leadership role to Deputy, BeastInTheWay, focused on PvP recruitment and improvement. He and TSG Leader, DidTheTango, talk about their plans for this new focus and possible tournaments their teams will enter.

DidTheTango talks about how Deputy Beast approached her and Co-Leader, DoTheTango, about the roles Deputies would take on in the clan. "I was honestly surprised to see Beast message to us." she says. "Before the break our clan took, we were planning to focus more on PvP but never truly got around to it." She goes on to talk about how excited she is at the idea of working with her Deputies in more than just moderation terms.

"I've always wanted us to feel like a team, and I think giving the Deputies each a content focused job to do is a great way to achieve that. I think it's awesome that Beast reached out like that and put it on the table for us to discuss."

- DidTheTango, Clan Leader of Tango Smash

We asked Beast what he was thinking when he approached Clan Leaders about this new position. Not only did he offer the chance for their to be PvP Leaders, but also that Deputies should take on a role within the clan that focuses on Raids, Gambit and even Strikes.

"I felt like we all should have a role because I’m sure it’s stressful for one person to try and run everything at once, with the many different game modes. We can all bounce different ideas off of each other for our individual roles at anytime."

- BeastInTheWay, Leader of PvP and Tango Smash Deputy

We reached out to Deputy Beast to get an idea of what he thought about his new role in the clan. "I think with enough people, we can create different PvP teams. Teams for trials, competitive 3v3, and for those who just like the casual quick play." He says, clearly showing he plans to involve all aspects of PvP, not just the competitions.

PvP Leader Beast even talks about how he felt about the Competitive attitude within the clan and community. "There are too many players who try to be the best, while at the same time, bashing people who aren’t as skilled at it." He says, "I’d like to change this attitude the best I can within our community, because I believe everyone has a chance for improvement and private matches are the best for this in my opinion."

Tango Smash Gaming is looking to participate in Tournaments against other Destiny 2 clans, and so we asked if he had any plans to move forward with a Competition team. "The best trials players who work well with one another can maybe have competitions against other clans.", he says "If they win we might eve have them featured somewhere showing off their accomplishments.".

It makes a lot of sense that the Trials Players would have the chance to compete. DidTheTango voiced her support for this move without hesitation. "I believe Trials Players are challenged more often than those who play in the competitive playlist." She also continues by speaking on a showcase of accomplishments for those teams.

"I also have plans in the works for a showcase of talent within the community." We asked her how she planned on going about this showcase, and she promptly responded, "It's going to be in Leaderboard form, and DoTheTango and I are talking about how to code it up for our clan."

When it comes to joining these teams, we asked Beast what players could expect. "PvP players will need to join private matches to work on teamwork and observe skill level." He goes on to talk about how important teamwork is in the competitive space. "It’s okay to be good, but teamwork and constructive criticism is crucial. I want to have teams that work well with each other, are willing to teach each other, and work with anyone to get better."

Players who stand out in these areas are sure to catch Beast's eye, and are going to be considered for the competition teams more closely than others. It seems that the Private Matches are key to getting into Tournaments under Tango Smash's Banner.

Both Leaders mirrored in their plans for these competitive teams. They want to make sure they get involved in Clan Vs. Clan competitions, Tournaments and overall just to achieve that visit to the Lighthouse. Even if you are not looking to go competitive in tournaments, it shows that PvP Leader, Beast, has plans to help players even in general Crucible and Trials content.

Despite all the excitement around this new opportunity, BeastInTheWay makes it very clear that Clan Standards are still going to be upheld for his teams. "T-baggers, emoters, and trash talkers, will get the automatic boot. I won’t tolerate that kind of behavior in my matches. Joking is permitted as long as it doesn’t get out of hand."

It almost sounds like Beast is tuning into his Lord Shaxx personality! Here at Tango Smash Gaming, we are completely in support of this and Beast as a Leader. Even Beast shares his thoughts on the support he has gotten from his Clan. "I appreciate the support from you guys and the trust that y’all have in me to run PvP."

If anyone is interested in participating in PvP, BeastInTheWay says you can best contact him through discord, and that he will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you are interested in Tournaments be sure to follow us on Instagram @tangosmashgaming or here for more updates on upcoming competitions.
