YOU'RE VOTING FOR WHAT?

think twice

By Margaret BrennanPublished about a year ago 5 min read

So, you say you’re not voting for trump but what you ARE voting for?

You say you want the following. Okay, let's examine each point.

1. Secure borders,

2. Legal immigration,

3. Mandatory ID for voting

4. 2nd amendment rights

5. Police respect

6. Law & Order (stop trespassing)

7. Troop return

8. Electoral college

9. Fed judges & resect of our constitution

10. Judges who respect the bill of rights

11. Jobs to remain in America

12. Keep men out of woman’s sports

13. Peace in the middle east

14. Stop human trafficking

15. Freedom of religion

16. Personal responsibility, whereas criminals are no longer put back on our streets

17. Teaching math, history, & science instead of indoctrination (brainwashing)

**

Let’s dissect what you just said:

1. You want secure borders. We all do but we are a large nation. We cannot put a fence around the entire nation. It’s physically impossible. For as long as I can remember, there have always been people trying to come here illegally, even when that process was to fabricate or steal another’s credentials. When you take a child away from the parents without any possible way of reconnecting them is nothing short of kidnapping!

2. Legal immigration. How do you think your grandparents came here? The only TRUE Americans are the Native American. Anyone else came here through immigration and all of them illegally. Think about that! The white man came here, murdered the Indian and took his land. So, let’s talk about legal immigration!

3. Mandatory ID for voting rights. I don’t know of anyone who hasn’t had to show proper ID to obtain voter’s registration. Many years ago, when I registered, I had to show my birth certificate, driver’s license, and any kind of mail (with a canceled stamp) that showed my name and address. We still have to show some form of ID. That hasn’t changed.

4. Second Amendment Rights. NO ONE is coming after your guns. The only gun laws that we have were written when we only used one-shot muskets. Do you really believe that we need any kind of “automatic” guns that shoot more than one bullet with the one squeeze of the trigger? Why? They are WAR weapons and should be used in war only! Not on our streets or in our schools.

5. You want police respect. We all do but too many “kids” are not raised to show proper respect. That fault lies with the parents NOT government officials. And speaking of respecting police, who was it that said to “fight like hell” when you reach the capitol? Trump’s cult, upon his encouragement, certainly did not show respect to law enforcement that day.

6. You want Law & Order. Then why are you voting for a felon convicted of 34 crimes? You also want law and order when it comes to trespassing. Have you forgotten Jan 6 when trump asked his “cult” to go to the capitol and “fight like hell”? Did he discourage his cult when they screamed “hang Mike Pence?” No he did not!

7. You want our troops to come home from all foreign countries. Been there done that and those moves resulted in the two World Wars, Korea, and Viet Nam. Did you know that it was Eisenhower, back in 1950 who sent the first troops to Nam? Did you know that we were asked by our allies to help them regain their own countries from the communists? Did you know that we ONLY entered WWII because Japan bombed Pearl Harbor? Where were you during the history classes? Ah, don’t forget that trump wants to disband NATO – we’d have NO allies should we be attacked. We would not be “there” to help others so, therefore, they would never help us. It works both ways.

8. Ah! Let’s talk about the Electoral College. Using the EC makes your vote, in many cases, uncounted. It doesn’t matter who gets the popular vote or who gets more votes. If the EC wants a certain candidate, THEY chose! Why do you think any candidate only needs a mandatory count of 270 to win the election? You can’t be stupid enough to believe that only a handful of Americans are voting? Can you?

9. You want Federal judges who respect us and the constitution. Trump pushed his “followers” in so he could abolish your First Amendment rights. Remember Roe v Wade? How do you think that became eliminated? Trump said on day one, he’d be a dictator. Look up what a dictator does. He only needs one day! All your rights will be GONE!

10. Trump even said that if elected, we no longer will have elections. His judges will bow to his every word as they’re now doing. His words, “You won’t ever have to vote again. I will fix it!” You won’t vote, he’s already said the government will monitor women’s menstrual cycles to be sure no one is having abortions or using contraceptives. He’s already banning books in schools. Use your heads while you are still allowed to think.

11. You want to keep jobs in America? Then you’d better tell trump to stop having all his clothes bought and paid for in China! Tell Ivanka and Jarad to revoke their contracts with China and Saudi Arabia. Oh wait, trump said that he and Xi Jinping are best of friends.

12. Keep men out of women’s sports. If a person is transgender, how would you qualify that person? Born male, now surgically became a woman so they can’t participate? What about the women to surgically become men? You need to rethink this whacked out idea. Rather than pair by “gender”, let them be pared by ability! That’s more fair.

13. Peace in the Middle East. Hell, we’d all love to see that but they’ve been fighting for a millenia. Haven’t you read or learned anything? I mean thousands and thousands of years! (In case you don’t know, a millenia is a thousand years) Who’s going to stop them, now?

14. Stop Human Trafficking. Okay, let’s talk about that. Most human trafficking is done in other countries with the kidnapped “sold” to the highest bidder. Often that “sold person” is given fraudulent papers to accompany her captive wherever he goes. Who will police this activity? Would you suggest we go to those other countries and “monitor” what they do? And just how would you propose we do that? Send in troops? Oh, right, you don’t want our troops in foreign countries.

15. Freedom of Religion. Again, IF we lost the constitution, as trump says he plans on doing, there go your religious rights. Remember? He said he’d be a dictator? It only takes ONE day for a dictator to change everything to suit himself.

16. Personal Responsibility: no criminals allowed on our streets. Well, then, why vote for trump. First of all, HE IS A CRIMINAL, secondly, he said if elected, he would pardon all those convicted of their crimes on Jan 6. He’s very ready to put those criminals on the streets, now isn’t he?

17. Teaching math, history, and science in lieu of indoctrination. Haven’t you read one single word I said? TRUMP SAID HE WILL BE A DICTATOR! HE SAID THAT IN AN INTERVIEW ON FOX NATIONAL TV. AS A DICTATOR HE WILL DECIDE WHAT YOUR CHILDREN LEARN, AND WHEN. THERE IS YOUR INDOCTRINATION!!

YOUR ONLY HOPE FOR A FREE AMERICA IS TO NOT VOTE HIM INTO OFFICE.

YOU WILL NOT BE VOTING FOR WHAT YOU THINK YOU BELIEVE IN. THOSE ISSUES ARE NOT LISTED ON ANY BALLOT …… HIS NAME IS AND IF YOU VOTE FOR HIS NAME, YOU LOSE EVERYTHING ….. INCLUDING AMERCA AND ITS FREEDOMS.

YOUR ONLY HOPE IS TO VOTE AGAINST HIM … VOTE BLUE.

Well the die have been cast let’s see what rolls up. As a Canadian looking in from the outside on America, I’m realizing the entire world is in flux (politically) The times they are a changing.

Even though I don't know much about American politics, I still agree with your points. By the way, great article!

Such great points, so well written, it made me realize how much people get manipulated again and again.. instead of just using their reasoning.

Great points here, Margaret. But I don’t think you can use reason and logic on cult members. They vote with their feelings and loyalty.
