What is the New Name of Jesus Christ? Revelation 3:12
You will recieve the answer.

The New Name of Jesus Christ
The significance of names in biblical history carries deep theological meaning, often revealing divine purpose and prophetic fulfillment. One of the most profound connections in Scripture is the relationship between Michael the Archangel and Jesus Christ's New Name. Through careful examination of the Scriptures, we can understand that Michael is not just an angel but rather the manifestation of Christ’s authority and role as the ultimate Savior.
The Garden of Eden and the Role of a Caretaker
From the beginning, God established a caretaker over His creation. Genesis 2:8 and Genesis 2:15 explain that God placed man in the Garden of Eden with the responsibility of tending to it and caring for the animals. This pattern of stewardship is essential in understanding the role of Michael, who is depicted as the guardian of humanity.
Michael the Archangel: The Guardian and Savior of Humanity
In Daniel 12:1, we find a profound prophecy about Michael:
“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.” (NIV)
The phrase “who protects your people” directly correlates with the role of a savior, paralleling Christ’s mission on Earth. If Michael is the one who delivers the people, then his role aligns with that of Christ, the ultimate deliverer. This suggests that Michael is not merely an angel, but rather Jesus Christ in a different manifestation.
Further evidence of this is found in Daniel 10, where Michael is identified as the head commander of God’s army. Similarly, Jesus is described as the King of Kings and the Lord of Hosts, meaning He leads the heavenly armies (Revelation 19:11-14). This similarity strengthens the case that Michael is another title for Christ, emphasizing His role as both leader and protector.
The Revelation of Michael and the Woman in the Wilderness
The book of Revelation provides additional connections. In Revelation 12, we see a vision of a pregnant woman under attack by a serpent, which is also identified as a dragon in the King James Version. This dragon represents Satan, and his aggression against the woman is a direct assault on the children of God.
In Revelation 20, Michael appears with a key, which symbolizes authority and divine power. This key, interestingly, corresponds with the woman from Revelation 12, who had fled into the wilderness. If the key represents her, then Michael’s role in chaining the serpent confirms him as the savior of the woman and her children—those who keep God’s commandments (Revelation 12:17).
Hagar and the Forgotten Children of Abraham
Understanding the identity of the woman in Revelation 12 requires examining Galatians 4:25, which states:
“Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children.”
Paul explains that Hagar, the mother of Ishmael, represents the enslaved people under the old covenant. However, Galatians 4:28 describes another group—the children of promise, likened to Isaac. This verse acknowledges that both Ishmael and Isaac are Abraham’s children, and yet Ishmael is often forgotten in the recognition of God’s promise.
By connecting this passage to Revelation 12, we can see that the woman’s “other” children that follow God’s commands would be the descendants of Isaac, “the child of promise” Galatians 4:28. Michael, as the savior in Revelation 20, thus represents the restoration of all of Abraham’s children into God’s promise.
The New Name of Jesus Christ
The concept of Jesus Christ receiving a New Name is explicitly mentioned in Revelation 3:12,
“The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.”
If Jesus has a New Name, then it must carry significant meaning and authority. Given Michael’s role as the protector, savior, and head of God’s armies, it is logical to conclude that Michael is Christ’s New Name in His role as divine warrior and deliverer.
This conclusion is further reinforced by Revelation 22:13, where Jesus declares:
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
If Jesus is the beginning and the end, then His presence has been active throughout history, including in the form of Michael as seen in the Old Testament, to the New Testament.
As well as Revelation 22:18-19, which states:
“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy in this book: If anyone adds anything to this, God will strike him with the plagues that are written in this book. If anyone takes away any words from this book of prophecy, God will take away his portion of the tree of life and the holy city that are described in this book.”
This is a priority to recognize how prophecy has been set in stone and has not changed in faith patterns, proving the Bible is the greatest composition of all time.
The Importance of Names in Divine Purpose
Names hold deep meaning and honor for those who carry them. In Proverbs 22:1, it states:
“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
This resonates personally with me, as my name, Keona Emali, originates from the Hawaiian language, meaning “God’s gracious gift”. Additionally, I am married to Michael Tifi, whose name carries the very title I believe represents Christ’s New Name. Through the Holy Spirit’s guidance, my journey has led me to understand the significance of Michael as Jesus Christ’s divine name in His role as the protector and final deliverer. Also confirming the structure of 1 Corinthians 11:3 as how Revelation 20 is reflected.
The Revelation of Christ’s New Name
By examining Scripture, it becomes clear that Michael the Archangel is the New Name of Jesus Christ. His role as protector, savior, and the one who binds Satan aligns with the mission of Christ in Revelation and beyond. Through biblical prophecy, the forgotten children of Abraham are being recognized, and the promise of salvation is extended to all who seek the truth. As we continue to uncover divine wisdom, we honor the names given to us and the name that is above all names—the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who in His heavenly role, is revealed as Michael the Archangel.
God bless you.
