My Personal Testimony About Jeremiah 33:3
Jeremiah 33:3 became an object lesson for me.

I lived with my siblings and my mother who was a single parent. When I was about six years old, I remember going with my mother to see my father who lived 55 miles away.
After our two-hour Greyhound bus ride, we arrived at our destination. My mother and I walked across the street from the bus station and went into a telephone booth. It was the first time I had ever been in one.
My mother took a dime from her purse and put it into the slot while holding the handle up to her ear. I had never seen anybody do that before.
She dialed some numbers as I watched with my eyes wide open.
From where I was standing, I could hear my father's voice as he said, “Hello.” Then I heard my mother say just three words: “We are here.” I heard my father respond, “I'm on my way.”
I thought it would take a long time for him to come to us, but he was there within minutes. As soon as we walked back across the street, he was there. We didn't need to go inside the bus station to sit down and wait.
I couldn't believe how quickly he had come for us.
I was amazed at how my mother calling my father on a piece of equipment could cause him to come to our aid so quickly. Long before I knew about the major prophet Jeremiah and what he said in Jeremiah 33:3, I was shown in the natural how quickly my father came after he was called.
Now that I am much older, I am still amazed at how quickly my Heavenly Father comes to my aid when I call Him.
'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)
After all those years, I still remember the encounter I experienced that day. I now know that My Father was showing me. He used the telephone in that tiny telephone booth as an object lesson for me.
God's telephone number is easy to remember: Jeremiah 33:3. Even so, I keep My Father's number on speed dial. Whenever I have a problem, I don't call the psychic hotline. I call My Father. When I am down and out, I don't call a friend. Jeremiah 33:3 is the number I dial. My Heavenly Father comes to me quickly, just as my earthly father did so many years ago.
Remembering That Experience
I often wondered why I remember that experience after eight decades, but now I know the reason. God used that experience to show me that He cares, and He acts quickly on my behalf.
It is interesting that telephone booths are no longer available in this country, unlike during my encounter. I am glad they were around then to help me learn that powerful lesson from Jeremiah 33:3.
It is also amazing that I remember the telephone call and how quickly my earthly father came to get us from the bus station. However, I don't remember why I was the only child with my mother that day, even though there were other children at home. I don't remember why we took the trip or where we went after my father picked us up.
I am confident that God lets me remember the part that is helping me today without being distracted by other details of the trip.
I have thought about this over the years, but this is my first time sharing it. I thought it was too sacred to share until now. Perhaps there is something about my experience that will remind others of their sacred childhood memories.
Author's Note
I can't call my biological father on the telephone because he passed away in 2000. However, I can still call My Heavenly Father anytime, day or night. God loves it when I call on Him. How do I know?
I know because He answers, and He comes quickly.

"Your personal explanation about Jeremiah 33:3 is awesome! Not only did I become teary eyed as I read about your earthly father and our spiritual father‘s response when you call, but I also felt the presence of the Holy Spirit. I can certainly bear witness that your spiritual gift and anointing are “to write.” May God continue to richly bless you. Shalom, EJ"
