Meet the People NPC: Soulless Human Beings
A philosophical tendency assures that a large part of human beings lacks a soul

More and more people subscribe to the idea that this physical reality is a complete illusion. Under this perspective, this "real" world in which we live receives new names: The Matrix, The Videogame, The Illusion, The Hologram, The Maya (a term that means illusion in Sanskrit), among others.
NPCs are the abbreviations for the concept of a Non-Playable Character. These characters are crucial in certain video games, but there is a disturbing conspiracy theory that suggests that there are soulless beings around us, empty figures, NPCs that interact with us as if they were part of a cybernetic Matrix in which we live.
The literal understanding of some scientific research on reality, along with the science fiction film The Matrix (1999), which posits that we are under the control of machines in a deceptive world, has led many to create an alternative reality that even includes secondary characters. If everything we know, such as memories, thoughts and emotions, is a complex network of bits, information organized and managed by an elaborate software, reality becomes an illusion, a complicated virtual simulation managed by a supercomputer, where there are also NPCs.
An NPC seems to be a human being who cannot think objectively. We live in a simulated reality and some individuals assume the role of NPCs, expressing baseless ideas, opinions that they repeat and that seem to have been programmed, as if they belonged to a cult.
Risks
The risk of seeing others, whether they are neighbors, fellow students or colleagues, as NPCs is that the ability to empathize is lost, they are considered expendable and you can get rid of them without regrets.
In addition, there is a danger that you yourself will be perceived as an NPC, which is known as depersonalization or derealization. This happens when you feel that what surrounds you is not true, or when you see yourself from an external perspective (not to be confused with astral projection), as if you were living a dream.
According to mental health experts, depersonalization can be a serious disorder that makes us feel that the people around us or our physical space are not real. This can lead to an emotional disconnect with those we care about. Environments may look different than usual, distorted or faded. It is also possible that recent events seem very far away.
Time to reflect
Another trend suggests that NPCs are simply fictitious individuals who follow all the rules and do what they are ordered obsessively, acting and thinking according to what is expected of them socially. When they come across new ideas or activities that escape their social programming, they feel lost, blame you for saying absurd things and will do everything possible to return to their monotonous routine.
What really matters is our perspective on life, so each of us decides whether someone is an NPC or not, and it is not necessary to come to that conclusion. However, as a spiritual idea, it can be useful to understand that it is not worth investing time and energy in people who are really insignificant to us.
NPCs lack critical thinking and are characterized by their desire to conform. They give you answers that you already know, as if they were watching a TV show, that is, predictable answers from this Hologram, almost as if they were machines. This is often observed in people who cannot get out of their comfort zone, such as those who work for the government and adhere to official protocols. They want to get rid of their presence quickly, because they need to take care of 35 other people before their break. That's his mentality. They are rigid, not very thoughtful, they can even show frustration if you try to take them, even a little, out of their comfort zone. They are probably people without authenticity. Accepting this as a reality is difficult, but it is so. According to this current of thought, most of the people we meet are not even real.
