Born in September 1933, Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado is a Peruvian female who is the confirmed youngest mom. She gave birth to a baby when she was only five years old. Based on the medical reports, she was four and half years old when she became pregnant. This makes her the youngest documented case of precocious puberty.

The Complete Story Of Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado

Lina Medina was born in Ticrapo, Castrovirreyna Province, Peru, and was one of the nine kids of Tiburelo Medina and Victoria Losea. Once her mother observed that her abdominal size increased, her parents decided to bring her to the hospital because they were worried about her health and wellbeing. They and doctors initially thought that it was a tumor, but after proper assessment, it was found that she was seven months pregnant. The doctor who confirmed Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado’s pregnancy was Gerardo Lozada.

Afterward, the media and people started showing interest in the case. In July 1939, a Texas newspaper reported that a little girl got pregnant and was admitted to a national maternity hospital. The minor was tried to be given the sum of $5,000 to benefit her and her parents in return for filming rights.

Having Her First Child So Soon

Things got out of control. Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado and her parents were criticized in a number of ways. Some weeks later, she delivered a baby boy via cesarean section. The cesarean birth was necessitated by her tiny pelvis. Dr. Busalleu and Lozada performed the surgery, and Dr. Colareta provided anesthesia.

When the operation was completed, doctors found that Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado had fully mature sexual organs and reported her case in a medical journal called La Presse Médicale. In this journal, they said that she had her sexual organs matured when she was eight months old. They also revealed that Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado was having her periods when she was three years old. The weight of her son was over 2.5 kg at the time of birth. His name was Gerardo and he was raised as Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado’s little brother.

The Identity Of The Father

Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado did not reveal the name of the father. She also didn’t speak about her relationship or marital life. However, it was suggested that the father of her child had sexually abused her. Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado’s own dad was arrested but was released due to a lack of evidence. She looked after her son very well. He passed away at the age of 40, in 1979, due to bone marrow disease.

A Hoax Or A True Story

As an adult, Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado worked in the Lima clinic of Lozada, where she received a basic education. She married and gave birth to her second child in 1972. It is said that she has always refused to talk about her personal life.

Some people think that this is a hoax because a girl cannot give birth at such a young age, while others say that it is a true story. In the last few years, doctors have verified it based on biopsies and X-rays of the fetal skeleton in utero. Photographs have also been taken and shared with the world to reveal the truth. One of the photos was taken in April 1939, when Lina Marcela Medina de Jurado was seven-and-a-half months pregnant. I am not sure if this story has something to do with reality or not, but I feel that it is not possible for a 5-year-old to give birth.

Do you think Lina Marcela actually gave birth to a child at the age of 5 or it is just a rumor?
