Kangaroos
I’m not really sure if this is the type of knowledge-bomb one would drop when trying to impress someone but then again I’ve never much been concerned about my impression on others. I’m more of the 13 year old boy trapped in a 40 year old woman’s body when it comes to small talk. The bread and butter of my sense of humor is my unapologetic love of dick and fart jokes and I’m not afraid to admit it.

The Number One Hollywood Trick We All See
No matter what movie you press play on, there is one thing that these movies have in common, which is a wet ground on a sunny day, during a high chase scene or a fight scene amongst your favorite superheroes' everyone notices but skips that part when being engulfed in a scene. One morning I decided to watch a movie instead of watching my local news station or watching Martin on BET for the one-millionth time. I can always rely on Netflix to set the mood while I write.

This is a fact known to most everyone in the Western world. What fewer are aware of is that the night Honest Abe was assassinated, his son Robert Lincoln was invited to join him at Ford’s Theatre for the show. Robert chose to stay home, fatigued from having spent much time recently on the Civil War battlefront.

La Cucaracha or The Cockroach: both a hard no.
My years as an educator have taught me valuable lessons in so many subjects and areas: pedagogy, classroom management, differentiated learning styles. Dragons: Real or Fantasy?
I remember sitting in Sunday School as a kid and listening tot he lesson on 'What does the Bible say about the existence of dinosaurs?' I found it pretty interesting - more interesting than some other lessons - but I was definitely not prepared for the teacher to read a passage talking about this dinosaur-like creature breathing fire. All my favorite movies and TV shows had, of course, educated me on the fact that it is dragons that breath fire, not dinosaurs. So, naturally, ever since that day I have not been able to shake the idea that dragons may have actually existed, according to the Bible.
