The Unfortunate Truth about Appetite Suppressants
I have taken it upon myself to shine some light on the social media phenomenon that just completely riles me up yet fascinates me because people still get sucked into the sheer nonsense of it: "fat burning" weight loss drinks and diet pills. Quotation marks are necessary as they are not what they say they are. I do, myself, try to be as optimistic as possible but the old adage, "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" seems to have been made for this particular farce.

Knock on Wood
It seems as though the “luck of the Irish” goes back farther than St. Patrick’s Day. Most of us have used the phrase “knock on wood” (typically after saying something that we immediately regret). If you are in the medical field or service industry, you most likely use it when someone comments on what a slow day it is. Others use it after gloating about how they have never been ticketed while driving. No matter how you use it, it always seems to bring some form of comfort.

Forever Pondering
I've spent much of my life pondering the truths of existence, a fairly large domain of thought to say the least. Several early mornings, and far too many late nights have seen me restlessly tumble down rabbit holes for hours on end. That said, I must admit I can't wholeheartedly say that the self prescribed wisdom I plan to share today is unknown by others; it's simply an assumption I've made based on the fact that there are an innumerable amount of people who don't know the answer to such questions as "what's the meaning of life?" (42), "what is my purpose?" "where did life come from?" and "who am I?" and "what are we?" Furthermore, to say that what I have to say is a fact is simply for the sake of me being able to share it to this prompt. I don't truly know if this is fact or fiction, but I do know that it is the accumulation of all my thoughts on the subject. Thoughts formed by an upbringing in the Christian faith, having friends and family of other beliefs, research on multiple religions (albeit brief research), an unknown amount of time scouring through the internet and listening to the opinions of learned and "enlightened" individuals, and most of all through a life of contemplation.

Rainbows
Rainbows have fascinated people for as long as there have been rainbows. But where does the rainbow actually come from? How is light fashioned so that it can create this marvelous display for us to enjoy? And why are the colors always in the same order: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet?

Take the "Apple in the Morning" Challenge
Hold on before you head out to Starbucks first thing before work. The caffeine boost may be desirable, but you might want to pick up a Red Delicious from your fruit bowl as you leave for the day instead. While the old adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" has followed us around for generations, in recent years a question has arisen: are apples the way of the future in place of that morning cup of coffee?
