The Presidential Dinner That Scandalized America
Today’s article involves one of the most famous presidents in US history, President Theodore Roosevelt. He was known for shaking things up and kind of making his own way. In 1901, he did something that wouldn’t seem too controversial to us today. Certainly not. He had someone over for dinner, you know. He’s the president at this time. He’s pretty busy in general. But because he’s the president of the United States, even the smallest of social decisions carry enormous weight in symbolism for the public. It’s not like you or I casually inviting a new friend or new coworker to have some lasagna or something. This is always going to be interpreted as a statement.

4 Bizarre Fashion Fads From History
The medieval and Renaissance period has witnessed some bizarre and strange fashion fads. The female corsets that started as a bodice evolved as a tight-laced garment leading to the health hazards of women. Crinolines became popular for their silhouette but creating several risks to women's life. Chopines (high platformed shoes) were worn as a symbol of wealth but lead to an inelegant gait to the women. Powdered wigs started as a fashion fad but were used to cover male baldness and philandering.

What is a Crash Investigation Site?
I frequently drive on expressways in Michigan and I have recently been beginning to take notice of blue signs that say "crash investigation site" and then direct you to an upcoming location, which is usually a little area on the shoulder of the road that appears to be meant for cars to pull over and park in. After wondering about these signs and areas for a while, I recently became curious enough to actually look into what these are and what they are designed for. I wasn't sure exactly what I would find, but, as it turns out, the answer is that these things are actually very simple yet also incredibly practical and important.
