Independent artist, producer, and creative force Daiyaan Syce, better known as Klyde X, is redefining authenticity in hip-hop. In an industry obsessed with perfection, he proves that being unfinished doesn’t mean being any less real. Through raw emotion, hard-hitting production, and unapologetic storytelling, Klyde X is building a new standard for what it means to be true to yourself.

Growing Up in Cape Town

Cape Town is a city of contrasts—stunning landscapes and harsh realities coexist. It’s in Heideveld, a small and often overlooked neighborhood, that Klyde X grew up.

Losing his father at the age of four, Daiyaan was raised by his mother alongside his brother and sister. Life was financially and emotionally tight, but music became a lifeline.

“We were broke constantly,” he recalls. “Me and my brother shared a bed for years, my sister and mom in the same room. It didn’t feel wrong—it was just normal for us. Music was the thing that made sense.”

He began writing songs in grade 4, channeling his thoughts, frustrations, and dreams into lyrics. By grade 10, he started taking music seriously, and by 18, he was fully immersed in creating the sound that would define Klyde X.

A Sound That Feels

Ask Klyde X to describe his music, and he won’t give you a genre. He talks about feeling:

Dark, Rebellious, Melancholic, Motivational, Honest

“I’m not here to fit in. I make music for me and people like me. I don’t care about trends—and if you’ve heard My Position, you know exactly what I mean.”

His songs aren’t made to please algorithms—they’re made to express life. From raw verses to hard-hitting beats, Klyde X’s music feels like therapy for anyone who’s ever been misunderstood.

He produces under the alias You Know Who It Be, where his beats carry the same experimental, dark energy. Through Klyde X Studios, he manages production, social media, and client work—all independently. Every beat, every mix, every lyric starts and ends with him.

“My Position” – Finding His Voice

When Klyde X released “My Position”, the goal wasn’t fame—it was honesty.

Where It Begins

“But you could never try to beat

The motherfcker that is me

Cause I got the touch

Think I’m saying too much

So motherfcker shut the fck up, for I’m fcking you up

Just put yourself in my position

Why would I give a f*ck?”

The track became a declaration: a raw, unapologetic statement of self. It reflected the mindset of someone who’s been misunderstood but refuses to back down. My Position marked the first time Klyde X’s story reached a wider audience—and people felt it.

“No Body” – An Anthem for Misfits

If My Position was Klyde X’s awakening, “No Body” is his reflection.

“They call me crazy

For trying to put myself

In a game that most people try, end up failing

And stuck in their day job.”

The track resonates with outsiders—those who don’t fit the mold and don’t want to. It’s about solitude, not sadness; independence, not validation.

“No Body is for the people who walk alone—not because they have to, but because that’s where they find strength.”

It’s a song for misfits, dreamers, and anyone who feels like society doesn’t make space for them.

The Prototype Era

Klyde X is now building toward The Prototype, his most ambitious project yet, slated for release in 2027.

“The Prototype is about being incomplete. It’s about being a work in progress, but still being real. I’m not finished—I’m learning, evolving, and becoming who I’m meant to be.”

Every single he drops is a new experiment, a new emotion, a new layer of himself. Each song contributes to the larger concept of documenting the process of becoming something greater than yourself.

“I want people to see that you don’t need to be perfect to make an impact. You just need to be real.”

Music That Speaks

“Music makes me feel stronger than I actually am. It helps me say things I can’t say in person.”

For Klyde X, music is confession. It’s how he processes chaos, trauma, and small victories—and how he connects with listeners who feel out of place.

From Thought To Sound

“I want my listeners to know they’re not alone. Life will knock us all down at some point, so enjoy the moments you’re in—they disappear fast.”

He writes and produces from personal experience, transforming pain, confusion, and reflection into art that resonates universally.

Running His Own Creative World

Behind every beat, lyric, and social post is a full creative machine run by one person. Through Klyde X Studios, he handles production, mixing, and client management—all while developing his own artistry.

Where It Happens

Under You Know Who It Be, he creates beats with emotion first, trends last. Each sound is deliberate, human, and unpolished in all the right ways. He’s not waiting for labels—he’s building his own ecosystem from scratch.

Leaving a Legacy of Realness

Klyde X doesn’t want to be the next big thing—he wants to be the next real thing.

He represents a generation of artists who value honesty over hype and connection over clout. In a time when music can feel manufactured, The Prototype proves that imperfection is beautiful—and necessary.

“I’m not perfect—I’m just me. And maybe someday, we’ll all become more than ourselves.”

He’s building a legacy not of fame, but of authenticity. A legacy for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider, for anyone who knows that being unfinished doesn’t mean being unworthy.
