The globe is always changing, and the countries of today may not exist tomorrow! In this amazing new narrative, see the new countries that will shortly assert their independence. πŸ’ŽπŸ—ΊπŸ§πŸ€©πŸ’Ž

A Scotsman, an Irishman, and an Englishman enter a bar. They are all having a great time, laughing and joking around. Five hours later, the bar resembles a crime scene. Is this just another day in Britain's infamous yob culture? No, it isn't. What the hell just happened? Two men got into a fight over the 2023 Scottish referendum on this day. Never include copious amounts of alcohol in the "my country is better than your country" debate. Come back to Scotland soon, but let's start with an archipelago of 181 islands that is relatively tranquil. Bermuda is a small island in the Atlantic Ocean, 643 miles (1,035 kilometers) from the US mainland. Furthermore, it is among the world's most beautiful locations. We imagine you'd be thrilled to visit there. Even though some of you would like to live there, you cannot do so unless you are obscenely wealthy.

One of the priciest places on earth is Bermuda. Rent for a three-bedroom apartment in the well-liked Hamilton Parish may cost you around $6,500 per month. A two-person meal could cost you $160. The first African slaves were sent there by the English in 1616, after they had already colonized the area for centuries. The descendants of those slaves make up about half of Bermuda's current population of 70,000 or so. One of many English colonies in the Americas where African slaves toiled in abhorrent conditions while Europeans became extremely wealthy was Bermuda. Bermuda is still used as a tax haven by wealthy people today. In mansions tucked away from the main roads, you'll frequently find a good number of billionaires living it up. In Bermuda, being a millionaire is commonplace.

Think about how unpleasant it would be to live there and be poor. Even buying milk alone might put a strain on the wallet. 1,843 people in Bermuda were unemployed in 2016. They accounted for almost 75 percent of the population. 92 percent of Bermuda's homeless population at the time was black. 5,341 people, 77 of them black, lacked any form of health insurance. Discrimination exists in this island state as a result of economic inequality. What is a person to do in such a prohibitively expensive place? Even the tourists in Bermuda are largely wealthy. If Bermuda were to become a country, things might change. Many people actually desire that. It is preferable to be independent if you want to make significant changes. Currently, control over the government remains with the United Kingdom.

Bermuda's passport is unique. Although it has a national soccer team, it is not yet a country. Some believe Bermuda needs to develop a little more before becoming a country, but many believe the time is now. There is absolutely no justification for Hamilton to become independent, according to the city's mayor. Nevertheless, he cautioned that it might take some time. Bermuda held a referendum in 1995. However, only 59 people from the population showed up. 74 people chose to stay with the UK. Despite the fact that 1995 has passed, some people believe it is time for a change at this point. They claim that racial discrimination is still pervasive and that black people have been treated unfairly for too long. Imagine being an ancestor of slaves and being unable to live comfortably in the home your forebears essentially constructed.

In today's world, it is not acceptable. Bermuda is likely to soon upset the status quo. This next location is one that we bet you've never even heard of. It has even been suggested that major states like California and New York could move to break away from the rest of the union. Such upheaval in the global economic order has been hitting regular Americans like you and me right now. The big question is: Could the United States go the way of Bermuda? Let me explain. Different regions of the United States are facing different macroeconomic situations. Out of control inflation, collapsing markets, foreclosures, and evictions safeguarding personal wealth worth billions of dollars. But until Masterworks opened up art investing to investors like you and me, it was nearly impossible for the average American to take advantage of this fantastic asset class.

In fact, Masterworks returned tens of millions to investors last year, with nine exits in 2022 alone. The last three of those gave their investors net returns of 10%, 13%, and 35%, respectively. It's not surprising that they have over 650,000 users signed up so far and that the offerings have sold out in a matter of minutes when you consider that 2022 was the worst year for the stock market in almost a century, down over 30. Speaking of tropical desert islands that ought to help ease your mind and make you feel as though you are unwinding on one. What would you say if we asked you where Chuuk was? Any takers? Well, it's insanely beautiful, like Bermuda. It currently forms part of the FSM (Federated States of Micronesia). The FSM was formerly governed by the US before becoming a sovereign state in 1979. It signed the Compact of Free Association with the US in 1986.

According to the US Department of Interior, the FSM receives financial support, the US defends its territorial integrity, and FSM citizens are allowed to travel freely to the US under the Compact. In exchange, the FSM grants the United States unlimited, exclusive access to its land and waterways for strategic purposes. The FSM, however, has long been something Chuuk has wished to leave. Some people are against it, despite the cries of many Chuuks. The Compact agreement with the US expires in 2023, and the US has stated that if Chuuk became a country, it would not be eligible for another deal of that nature. As a result, things could change very quickly. This remote location is significant because Chuuk is regarded as a strategic location. It appears that China also enjoys Chuuk. To build roads on Chuuk, it recently spent $50 million.

Everyone wants a piece of Chuuk, and soon we may witness an independent Chuuk deciding for it that its closest friends are. Although the independence referendum is frequently delayed, it will eventually take place. However, getting there is a pain in the rear. It's a great place to vacation. You might want to travel to the following potential new countries. The next location is also remote and located in the Pacific Ocean. It is called the "Autonomous Region of Bougainville." It is still currently a part of Papua New Guinea, which is one of the least developed countries on Earth and is close to Australia. Bougainville Island is where people have been residing for about 29,000 years. There are presently about 250,000 residents. When European explorers were searching for new locations in the past, they discovered people on Bougainville leading what you might call an elementary way of life.

The island had a long history of occupation, including periods under the control of the Americans, Australians, Germans, and Japanese. But Louis Antoine de Bougainville, a French admiral, gave it its name. The locals there are probably tired of being ruled both by their neighbors and by outsiders from the west. 20,000 people were killed in a war that Bougainville and Papua New Guinea fought not too long ago. Given the small populations of Papua New Guinea and Bougainville, that is a lot. These people are tough as nails because they don't have any of the conveniences that the majority of Westerners do. They want to be free as well, and if they were independent, they would probably be fine. Natural resources are abundant and expensive in Bougainville. For people who can live off the land, just one copper mine there is worth about $58 billion, which is a lot of money.

Yet, we anticipate that they won't receive a sizable portion of the money. From the hands of the elite, money rarely filters down. 2019 saw 98 votes in favor of independence. 31 people chose to leave the EU, but the decision was not final. They will nevertheless make another attempt to achieve independence soon. Even though it might not arrive the following year, it will most likely do so soon, this place after that is completely different, its name is Rojava, and it technically belongs to Syria at the moment.

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria is the full name of the organization. Conflict is undoubtedly familiar in this area. Since some people want independence and others want to remain in Syria, there has been internal conflict there as part of the ongoing Syrian conflict. This conflict was dubbed the Rojava conflict. There has been a huge social uprising there, with groups yelling for things like women's rights, democracy, freedom of religion, and the right to express one's opinions.
